Midnight speed run with the Rlaarlo AK-917 fitted with a TP 4040CM 3770kv motor running a 4s CNHL 10,000mah 100c battery. I'm just a newb trying to climb the MPH ladder!
Thanks to my daughter Jess for putting up with me and all the late night help while I try and learn this speed run thing.
Build:
-TP Power 4040CM 3770kv motor
-Castle Creations XLX2 esc
-CNHL 4s 10000mah battery
-AGFRC 35kg servo
-BSR foam tires
-Ironman RC mod-1 gears
-Radiolink RC6GS v3 radio and R7FG receiver
-Self-made custom carbon fiber chassis, rear wings, front splitter and servo mount.

Hey, thanks a lot I appreciate that man, I wish I could find the right road to make daytime hits, I really like this location but the cops have jumped all over me a couple times, they even showed up one time at midnight😤 LOL.

@@micron3268 well nothing like bugging you instead of looking for actual criminals…. I’ve actually had good luck with the cops… most of them have been cool. Just wave. I need to find a longer road too…. I’d love to get in the 120’s I’ve finally got it going straight!..😂

Yeah, I have had great luck all summer with the cops also until I started using this road, I even told them that the first time they pulled up but it didn't help! lol. Yep, it takes a real nice location to do what we are trying to do for sure. This road took me from a bunch of 120runs to the 140s just because of the longer distance. I'm no longer worried about stopping distance at all and the road is way wider! The width is almost as important for me. Awesome build. Do you mind sharing which motor mount you use for your TP 4040? I have modified a Rlaarlo adjustable mount but I doubt it is super secure. Beautiful paint job on the car! Not seen a lot of custom Rlaarlo’s yet.

Thank you, I'm using the Rlaarlo two-piece adjustable mount and it's been holding up fine with lots of runs on it. I did cut a slot in the chassis under the motor for some more clearance. As for the body paint I got in a hurry or lazy, 🤣 Its actually all fluorescent duct tape on a clear body! If you have any more questions just ask👍. Thanks again for the support!

I NOTICED YOU'RE NOT RUNNING THE LEOPARDS ANYMORE, NOT ENOUGH RPM'S, YOU HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM,OR YOU'RE JUST TRYING DIFFERENT MOTORS?
