This is going on sale on May 14, 9am Pacific. It will sell out almost instantly so set your clocks and get in there if you are interested in this. Link is here: rlaarlo.com/pages/mk-07?ref=AnVrZV6a
Im a big fan of AXIAL,got a full bunch of it. Honestly beleive that PRICE/VALUE this is a MUST HAVE!! Scx6 for sure will have a HARD TIME trying to keep up with this one. 500.0 BUCKS!! VS $1100! THANKS FOR THE VID FRANCIS. Another really good vid / review!
I was able to improve steering radius quite a bit! I used the transmitter to change the servo throw from 90 degrees to 180 degrees. Then I set endpoints perfectly. Much better. I see someone put 4s brushless on this and sent it. This vehicle has a strong drivetrain and is not afraid.
Awesome truck! Rlaarlo was very communicative during the process and responded to any emails I had within 48 hrs. Hope lots of aftermarket parts become available but I am more than happy to keep it stock!
The servo saver/steering dampener hinders steering performance too. If you change it for a fixed link you'll get more steering out of it. I don't know about steering angles though.
13min.... Uuummm how the F did Traxxas patent something Tamiya was using (and other companies) before Traxxas even existed? And a sealed box (electronics) has been used in many industries long before Tamiya used it... Where do you think they got the idea? And people wonder why I won't buy ANY Traxxas product.. PERIOD
We need a measurement of that flex and flex test in the future. I purchased the Trx6 g63 based mostly on your videos. I have already been modding it because i just cant leave anything stock. I have 7inches of flex! with choice mods and stock 1.9 wheels😅 Next up 2.2 with rock beast tires.
the light show was neat. but that's about where it ends for me. trail rigs don't particularly do well in any one area, kinda like jack of a trades, but lacking in all
…. Gross. I know not to expect a battery but some might not and that’s kinda misleading if nobody mentions it… I’ve watched a few videos on it and didn’t hear anything about that
Oh boy was saying that motor was more like a drill motor I always thought that that would make a killer motor cuz all the torque it produces and then even if you are real easy on a trigger on a drill it starts up pretty slow
Nice video 👍 Many Thanks for your report with all the explanation…🙏 I have to admit that I am not a real crawler modelist, but there are a few topics I wonder a little at, if I think myself deeper into the segment of crawler RC cars, its goals, and what I would like to have, if I would want to go for such a model… • Of course, I can absolutely feel the fascination of crawling in the sense of going extreme ways no other “normal” RC car can go. Including all the technical features which make this sort of adventures possible. In this category the MK-07 seems to be OK. • However, in addition to the crawler performance aspect there are also many efforts made to achieve scale appearance in REAL looks and REAL driving performance. And in this direction I ask myself some questions… 🤔🧐😉 • REAL off-road cars like a “Jeep” (which is somehow the direction of the look of the MK-07…) can drive fast enough to be also used on normal streets within some sort of “normal” speeds. In this aspect the MK-07 looks too slow in second gear. I understand that it would be quite a challenge to drive a huge truck like the MK-07 with scale realistic high speed, but this is exactly the same with a REAL 1:1 scale truck. Well, drivers would have to be careful, but this would be the REAL reality of scale appearance. 🤔🧐😉 • Considering the low top-speed of the MK-07, I can not see much sense in the front- and rear-wheel drive option… 🤔🧐😉 And it would make no sense to just give the motor more power for more speed, because it would also affect the first-gear crawling mode, which would be only negative for performance. • It should be possible to switch the direction indicator function on and off. Nobody in REAL life is constantly using those while intensively manoeuvring in extreme, low speed off-road conditions, i.e. CRAWLING… 🤔🧐😉 • Every REAL truck is not driving around without a driver… a model that wants to be scale realistic just looks ridiculous without a driver… 🤔🧐😉 I know, this is a “problem” with nearly all brand RC vehicles, but I think RLAARLO wants to be a little bit MORE special with its RTR models, so in my opinion it would be a little, but quite nice touch if they would include a driver figure, or at least offer one (or even better more than one different versions…) in the proper scale… Keep on having a great RC FUN time…!!! Thorsten 🌞
Thank you for your thoughts and questions Thorsten. You have great insight and curiosity. Yes, the gearing is too low. It should be increased significantly and that can be done with a bigger pinion gear. Rlaarlo is planning to sell a brushless version of this. It will make the drive modes and open diffs make more sense. These will be very handy at speeds above 15mph. Currently, the top speed is only less than 8mph. And yes, it needs a driver. The interior is half height only one can cut up a driver figure and fit it in there. I plan to do it and make another video. I've also improved the steering angle.
I can tell you that the big names dont care because people will always buy their products knowing the shelves at the hobby stores/online will have the parts available for you in just a couple of days.
Absolutely. The growth is in online, direct sales and these companies have come from nowhere. In 2-3 years, they will be offering wayyyy better products at great value. If the big brands don’t innovate. They will shrink
Great to see another brand on the trail truck/crawler pond! And it looks like a solid entry! Great value! (too bad it's another Jeep though... 😅) Do wish they sent the upgrades uninstalled to the reviewers though. The servo saver/steering dampener hinders steering performance too. If you change it for a fixed link you'll get more steering out of it. I don't know about steering angles though. FC could you tell us if they too have hidden a normal grill behind that ugly "angry grill"? 😁
That can be said for all tech or any feature. All these details seem really well laid out and designed. For someone scared of breakage, don't use them. Can also remove the features or extra servos easily much like the TRX4
@@RCReviewChannel that’s for sure, I tend to keep these things long term so I’d rather spend time driving them than fixing them , that’s all. Time will tell how these hold up .
I just saw another video bash this thing at 27mph brushless and it was not afraid. The open diff option really increases it's sweet spot. Impressive internal gears too.
Its this simple, if you dont want to spend 1,100.00 USD go get yourself one of these. I owned the SCX6 and yes the Axial is bigger, but this is the next best thing, I two Rlarrlo RC's and the quality is undoubtedly there. Will you wait a bit, yes, is your paid product being shipped from overseas, yes. be patient, you will get what you paid for. I sold my SCX6 because i find crawlers boring, even the giant ones LOL.
I would never ever order anything from China. If they had an American base and shipped in the states, I would have ordered several vehicle by now. I just don't trust the shipping method.
I ordered my Porsche carbon fiber version from Rlaarlo and it's was here in just 4days. Packed very well with a box in a box, car in a carrier. Rlaarlo cares and it shows. They even sent extras with my car.😅❤
The stock ESC can only take 3s Lipo. Someone has replace the motor/esc and run the car at 4s and 6s lipo. The drivetrain can handle it and can go 30mph. It is not afraid.
You got to be kidding me you cannot put a seal in your receiver box because of Traxxas I just got to be one of the single most stupidest things I've ever heard of
Yup. The sad part is many companies were sealing receiver boxes before Traxxas. Traxxas just happened to copy and were somehow granted the patent. It is a true example of how the patent process can be misused and harm all consumers because no other manufacturer can offer it now.
This may be the most biased video I have ever seen haha. Cuts out on the "Hard Stuff" for the scx6 when the jeep struggled, guessing the SCX6 walked up it. Then you take completely different lines with the 6 and at a slower speed then say it struggled more lol. Jeep rolls over at 9:20 but cuts the video and proceeds to talk about it not flipping. I was tempted to buy one until seeing this ridiculous comparison. I get you may make money on this but my oh my, at least try to be a little bit unbiased.
Well, it is an overengineered (although it isnt their own engineering, just copy someone else) light show at best from China. Much like a lot of products from China. We are just so used to cheap China junk nowadays that worse junk makes the cheap China junk look good. Everything is made in China with the same quality the Chinese junk 20-30 years ago used. Just now it is accepted to have to buy junk because inflation stretches the all mighty dollar too thin to buy the quality up front.
@@RCReviewChannel So you used it as a comparison and put "Can it keep up" then cut out scenes while making remarks on how the jeep did compared to it. Odd thing to do for a size reference lmao. The remark about it not flipping while clearly seeing you cut out the flip is a clear sign of you trying to make it seem better than what it is. C'MON, do better.
Did the SCX6 have two pounds of optional brass on the axles? Seems like a weighted comparison if you'll pardon the pun. These Rlaarlo YT marketing pushes are starting to seem disingenuous.
It had a pound of brass and headlock wheels and mod tires. But yes, Rlaarlo did not tell reviewers the vehicles were not box-stock. That won’t happen again
Probably the 4th video I've watched on this truck. Your test drive vs the SCX6 (which I have) is really telling. It is for sure nice truck, though I fear aftermarket support is a long way off. If that picks up and the price stays around the $500 mark, this could really pick up a lot of people. The value is "massive" (is a lot of ways) vs what is out there now.
