I studied MQA and audio origami. It can't work as claimed. It violates Shannon Nyquist by 400 percent. You can't hear anything above 20 khz anyway. At best it's inaudible. At worst it creates new problems. It's a solution that doesn't work for a problem that doesn't exist.
One downfall of the audiophile industry is the lack of expertise and attention to room acoustics and what makes great room treatment, how to figure out where to play the treatment, how much do you need, etc. etc. The room is probably about 50% of what you are hearing and it's also preventing, in most cases, from hearing the details of your "System".
I've had run ins with management just because they didn't understand what I did and thought they could just put me into a box, they all ended up badly bruised and I outlasted all but the last one show was "special". I was thinking about retiring and decided I really didn't have to deal with this fool. I left and enjoyed hearing about the department falling apart and his futile efforts to make it perform the way he thought it should. The only thing this fooled lacked was an MBA but he still managed to pretty much destroy whatever he tried to "fix".
There’s always a smart ass who just has to be a completeidiot. I was obviously talking in refernce to an audiophile deciding hifi Gear purely based on a blind test. I’m listening to music like any other fun thing in life. Not measuring sound as an engineer.
Heardhim at a hi fi news lecture at the old Harrogate HiFi show in 1981 , the double doors of the room had to be opened to accommodate his head , a boorish grammar school boy whose sense of self importance was only surpassed by the National Debt. Could only take 10 minutes of him. Somethings never change.

Mr. Atkinson, I just started a new tube amplifier manufacturing company. How much will you charge me to say my amplifiers are great. I would guess a sliding scale. So much for class D, class C, class B and class A. Doubt I can afford you to say it's class A. We will talk. See ya at the next show. We need a safe word, how about rumplestilskin. This way you will know me. Thank you.
