I had a Honda CR-Z, took it for service, they gave me a 2013 Civic loaner to drive, next day I traded my CR-Z in for a 2013 Civic, so quiet and comfortable to drive, love the new Civic!
Am driving the same civic 2013 from the last 5 year's seriously I never expect such great car like this, I consider it as life time friend Thanks honda for this experience
@@kristiang.9600 Sold it back in 2019, had it 6 years, no issues at all, I changed it just because I needed a bigger car, otherwise I would still had it.
@@mauriciocastro7505 That's great to hear. I've had my mind on buying one and I was wondering if they were as reliable as the older generations. Thanks for replying so quickly. This helps me a lot.
I love this new styling... seeing it on the road really accentuates how upscale the taillamps are. Yes, they aren't LED, but they look better than almost anything in the compact and even midsize segments, to my eye at least. And that new interior is far superior to before!
I joined the honda family in March 2014. I fell in love the minute I sat in my 2013 civic and loving it ever since I work in homecare and spend a lot of time in my car love love love it no regrets.....
I bought a 2013 civic brand new, still have it today, over 100,000 miles on it, never given me any problems, very dependable. Honda's are good for that.
@@brianthomas4248 Dang. I have a 2012 for about the past 7 years. I'd go 2013 pre CVT if I had to upgrade. 2016 to about-2020 I just couldn't get used to.
Coming back 8 years later, I got to say. I have it still and I love it just the same. I take good care of my car and it has been taking really good care of me!
i used to drive a 2000 Honda Civic SE. and it was a charm, but maintenance was getting expensive. so i decided to go to a honda dealership to try out the 2013 Honda Civic EX, i drove it in a controlled condition because i was with someone from the dealership. i fell liked how it drove down the highway, then i decided to buy one. i added a spoiler and a remote starter, i had to wait for a week to get it. but then a day after signing the papers. started to get this feeling of regret because i was not sure if that was the right decision. but then when the day came to get it, and drove it home for the 1st time. i started pushing it to its limits. and the feeling of regret suddenly vanished and i feel in love with my car. now i feel like i am smiggul and my car is the ring of power. so i called my car "Precious"
Got a 2014 LX sedan to replace my dead Mitsubishi. It's dull to look at and drive but the fuel economy is great and is 10x more practical than my old Eclipse ever was. They bumped the power slightly for 2014-2015, but it's still slow. Had to replace part of the intake piping before the throttle body as they're known to tear and cause hesitation during hard acceleration. Overall a great car if not an uninspired one
Got a 2013 Civic myself and love it too. Getting 45MPG on highway and love the Pandora streaming. Rear view camera is useful and Bluetooth works well. Also love the fact that it comes with a standard alarm system which most don't have. Saves me a trip to the alarm shop and $200.
I got our first Honda car last dec. 8. I'm so glad I chose the '13 Civic over the Sentra SR. I'm happy getting almost 3x mpg of my titan and armada. 35 mpg $40 for 5 days over $60 a day. Now I'm not stress goin to work seeing my $$$ in the gas station. I have 1600 miles already for 20 days. All Of the civic generation only the 2013 that I really love and like with the exterior and interior stylin and features. 140 hp. Best eco car for me.
My 2011 LX has 107k miles, after the dealer replaced the steering rack at 70k miles it has been smooth sailing. Best car I've ever owned and can squeeze out 30 mpg combined if I keep it below 2000 rpm
I bought the 2013 Civic and love it! It is fun to drive and gets 40MPG. I got a great deal at just $17k (MSRP $19,755) which was less than the Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Corolla. Love the Bluetooth, Rear Camera and the Pandora interface.... which aren't available in most of the competitors.
Great car, I got a 2015 and it is everything I expected from a Civic.... My last Civic was a 1984 LX... Now I have a 2015 Civic EX... Cant Complaint! The best part, it is a really safe car, really comfortable, very responsive with a sporty feeling, and there is a world of after market accesories for style and performance...
Civic VS Focus? No comparison. Anyone who would choose a Focus over a Civic will get what they pay for. If you choose a Civic, you will also get 2what you pay for. The difference is the user experience over the term of ownership. Civic wins when it comes to reliability and resale value.
I love my 2013 LX. Such a smooth ride, quiet. Not the fastest thing out there but it gets me from point a to b. Much improvement over my Chrysler product thar I owned for 2 and a half yrs
Bought a 2015 Touring with black leather interior on October 17th, 2017 with only 37k KMs. My first car ever. I love it. Want to keep driving all day. 🤗
I own a 2013 civic i test drove everything in its class my civic is lowered and has a couple of new suspension parts if you put a little into the car its amazing mines black on black and i love it wouldnt trade it for anything.
For those with the new 2013 Civic Coupe, is the area behind your brake/gas pedals showing exposed insulation? It's high up but there doesn't appear to be a knee bolster on this model or it's VERY small. You can see some parts up there that I thought were typically covered on other cars. Please respond!
It looks they've improved the noise-proof i have a civic 2012 its amazing car actually but the noise give me strong headache but over all its good and efficient car :D love it
I love all Civics, but however the first two generations of the Civic were too small for me, the third generation Civic grew a bit from the first two Civics, I loved each Civic models and even the completely redesigned 10th Gen Civic looked pretty good and it will always be good. Also, the Civic, as well as the Accord, both are highly customizable. (But if you live in places like California, you shouldn't have a very loud muffler, otherwise you'll get a ticket for it), other than that, you're all good.
Hopefully the 10th Gen Civic doesnt have a quick refresh like the last one. hear the base engine is 2 Liters instead of 1.8, and horsepower is up 10 i believe to 150, but we wont see a natural gas or hybrid versions anymore
+David Aubin I heard they'll have some 1.5 liter, turbo-charged trim levels as well. And finally, a 5 door hatchback option... They will bring a Si and/or Type R finally too.......
The 500 mile break-in time works in the drivetrain and also calculates my driving habits. I hope it does. At the 150 mile mark the electronic accelerator pedal is still spongy at the top lacking the accurate response in my previous 2010 civic. The interior is light-years ahead providing features that will compete with the Elantra like outside temp, rear backup color camera, added side-air bags and 3 custom wallpapers you can change anytime through your USB memory stick. A great value.
2006 Honda Civic had eight airbags and side-impact airbags and curtain airbags and it was a top safety and motor trend and North American car of the Year
My 98 Civic saved my life in an accident, and I will always love Honda for that. After my wreck, I drove a '13 Civic, but it didn't "wow" me in any way. It's easy to drive and very maneuverable, but it handled worse than my 98, and felt disconnected from the road. Great for comfort, but not for corners. Honda is clearly trying to make the Civic a car for the masses, but they completely forgot about enthusiasts along the way. It's a great car, but I wouldn't pay 19k+ for something I didn't love.
I have a 2012 wish I had a 2013 however after sitting inside it and driving both they are nearly identical both are most likely equally as reliable too. Of course, both cars are now old but needless to say, these were probably honda's most reliable years until they turned to turbo engines.
+icantw8 automatic is better than CVT. CVT hansnt proved itself just yet. its too new a technology and, most people like the feeling of the car gearing.
I got to drive 2012 Civic and I don't think it was as bad as the media claims. The front fascia looks pretty good and the rear is more boring than ugly. The interior isn't terrible either, just the light color makes it look rather cheap. It drove and handled similar to the 2013. It wasn't that noisy either. It was just a 15 min test drive but I was still impressed enough to make an offer. But the greedy dealer wouldn't budge more than $3k so got the 2013 instead.
Civic vs Focus. You're looking at a ~2MPG difference MAYBE and for that you lose ~2.5 sec to 60. You also have a louder cabin and an engine that is more more reliable than the Focus. I will admit you can fault the Focus regarding it's tech as it can be complicated but it gives a real feeling of value.
2013 Civic back to being class leading. And why is it that Korean and American cars have troubles meeting, let alone beating, their EPA estimates? They might have flashier designs, more tech, or better handling but the Japanese have the real world mileage and long-term reliability which, to me, is worth it.
Of course, because the Civic and Corolla you get there are not Japanese, are made locally. Brazilian market is not good reference for any comparison, because that market is another story. Elantra is very well sell around the world, outselling the Corolla y many markets. The Elantra has won several awards, especially the Initial value and quality and top residual value award from JD Power. I am a Honda CR-V owner and I also have a Hyundai Accent 2007, and I can say Hyundai is a good car now.
I had this 2013 lx. I customized it with rims, tint, hid headlights, led interior lights and a stereo system and then sold it and I regret that a lot. I should’ve left it stock and kept it for for the long term! Idiot!
I think he's talking about the old 8th generation This is the redesigned 2013 9th generation which is a little better than the first 2012 9th generation
3:02 - Electric steering quickened - not good. I find electric power steeering already too sensitive and easy to get oneself in front of Congressional Oversight! 😄
We punish Honda by saying their civic sucks. They punish us by designing the ugliest wheel covers/alloy rims for the civic. I like the civic, it looks like a good car. But I'll wait for the 2014 Corolla.
I have checked the Internet and know people who bought Hyundai and Kia. Its been good cars and reliable. I am sure the Korean car company at least for now will not out sell Honda, Toyota, and other popular Japanese makes because of reputation. They still have to earn it but if you look at the whole pictures there are big improvements.
I do not hate Honda but the company had some bad recalls like 1998 to 2002 Honda Accords, Pilots, etc high transmission failures, lack of equipment and style of 2012 Civic ( 2013 Civic is much better in terms of features, style, quieter ride, and better handling) , Acura ILX which overpriced ( I am not sure if Acura brand exist in South America ). That is to name a few problems with Honda. Where is their sports cars like Honda S2000, Acura NSX, etc.
Lease a Focus... perhaps. Or maybe after reading consumer reviews one might re-consider: edmunds(dot)com/ford/focus/2012/consumer-reviews.html I would not lease or buy any car that has proven to be a Lemon time and time again. But that's just me. Some people might see things different than I do which is why people still buy the Focus regardless of it's track record.
1:25 "EX".. "sparsely equipped"? EX is the only trim level I'd buy most Honda models in! At least it has a moonroof without having to go all out leather, etc.
@Steven Strain Interestingly, they dropped the EX trim for the Accord, beginning a couple or so model years ago. At the same time finally equipping the Sport Accord with the moonroof anything sport should have.
