I've own many civics in the past. a 94 civic si hatchback, 2004 civic lx 4door, and 2006 civic si coupe. Now I have a 2013 civic LX 4door. All the cars are manual. This new civic is a joy to drive way better than all the previous generations. The road noise have been dramtically improved. The styling of the car is a nice step up from the 8th generation. Although it doesnt have the wow look factor of other cars in its class, it is a beautiful car and a joy to own.
Can't wait for the new Earth Dreams engines to come to the Civics with Atkinson/OTTO valvetrain behavior, hopefully with auto start/stop and CVTs with paddle shifters. Also, full hybrids rather than mild hybrid in their Honda Hybrids. Might come out for the 2015 year
in Malaysia, we don't get all those update. all they throw in the new model is just a reverse camera n lame extended reflector at the side of the rear brake lamp. but it still look nice though
We were looking for a touring civic but ended up with an altima sl i know its on a diff league but nissans lower interest and altimas lower insurance rate made the monthly payment the same
Both have cheap plastics, since the X1 is an entry level hatchback (mini CUV) and is full of hard plastics too (sat in one at the autoshow). My RL has soft plastics with nice graining wherever possible (the entire door panel, upper and lower dash, entire rear doors, etc). Does it make me a better person or get me from A to B quicker? Heck, no! But if getting from A to B was all anyone wanted to do, why do people drive Rolls Royce? Might as well buy a beater car lol.
great car!! just bought one. i also prefferd the beautiful original audio panel. the best family car in the world. like someone says here, its mini-accord. ive replaced my lancer 2008( at that time it was better then the civic, and new mode) i hade luck to get the 2 best family models in the last 5 years (mitsubishi lancer 1800 2008, and honda civic 2008. 1800) just sorry that in my basic version had no smart entry system......thats the problam with my country.....ha...ha....ha
Funny some reviewers are so obessed with soft touch matetial. Agree a soft touch material would be nice on some area where u rest ur arm but on a dashboard area? Do people actually rub their face or rear end on that area?
The name of the game is bang for the buck,if you can't afford gas,probably can't afford the extra 10k in unecessary gadgets,competition in this business is a bitch,at least in the US.
I agree. Honda needs to partner with either Google or Garmin. Then we can have a real Nav system. They are still using the old 2D system I have in my 10 year old Honda.

Other than reliability or maintenance costs, can someone please tell me why I'd spend $25000 on this car when I could spend $20000 on a used 3 series and put 5k in the bank for maintenance?
At for pretty bmw can beat any honda, they tongue are really fast than honda rpm for the tongue! bmw is higher tongues and can be very quick if they behind you.
Please. A rock hard interior isn't comfortable unless you're a caveman. Plus, you never know, a hard as fuck interior might kill you in a car accident. ;)
i dont like the front look.... company these days are just trying to hard to give a modern look to most cars! after 2-3yrs the look are always outdated.

If your a guy who hates speed and wants good fuel economy go for this car. I have one and i fkn hate it, this is a car is good to go to point a to point b, the ride is boring as shit and has no power what so ever. I baught this for my wife cuz she doesnt care about speed. I will always love v8 but ya its a good car on gas but boring as fk to drive, if you spend a little more to get a v6 or a v8, trust me everytime you drive you will have a lot more fun driving than this... TRUST ME!
