To anyone who wants to jump higher as well: - loose as much fat as possible before trying to build muscle. with extra fat, you are heavier and don't get off the ground easily, and don't stay in the air for long. - work on foot placement and landing so you don't injure yourself. - work on your run-up to the jump. start slow and accelerate See you guys when we jump to the moon, kings.
Vert Shock completely transformed my game! I couldn't even dream of dunking before, and now it's a regular part of my game. You can find it here while it's still available: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XSwHcXpwD0o.html To anyone who wants to increase his vertical jump as well: - Focus on exercises that target the muscles used in jumping, such as squats, lunges, calf raises, and deadlifts. Incorporate both bodyweight exercises and weighted exercises to build strength. - Plyometric exercises help improve the power and explosiveness of your muscles. Include exercises like jump squats, box jumps, depth jumps, and bounding in your workout routine. - Work on your jumping technique to optimize your performance. Practice jumping with proper form, including using your arms to generate momentum and landing softly to reduce impact. See you guys when you reached your vertical jump goals!
Dude good job I got blessed being 6,4 at 14, I've never thought of dunking as a goal I just did it. This changed my perspective Update: Now 15 and 6,5 Newer Update: now 16 and 6'6 - pretty sure i'm capped out
I’m 5,11 at 15 and I was touching rim like it was nothing getting close to dunking the ball for sure but then I broke my leg before the season started so I got to start over at 0 again but this definitely motivated me to stay on the grind when I’m 100% again 🙌🏽
I’m just starting to run again been going for morning runs at 5:30 am every other day so my leg can start recovering slowly and when it comes to me jumping I’m not jumping like I was back then yet I’m not trying to put as much weight on my legs yet till I know it’s safe and can start putting weight on it and start practicing jumping again
I don’t understand why 2 people dislike this video 🤦🏻♂️ it’s a big accomplishments and he shows to us to follow or dreams and work hard for it and you will achieve it. Big up to you !
this boy reminds me, when im just his age, playing basketball hard, from morning till night, but thats not all about, it gives me motivate to get back my weight, my skills in basketball. thank you
Just saying. I can’t imagine how proud and accomplished this kid felt while editing this. Good stuff dude , great vid and great will and drive you have.
This is fire man.. I’m 17 5’8 and never thought of dunking until a few mouths ago I tried to grab rim and I was able to hang on it..I was shocked… road to dunking for senior season!
dude,u prove nothing is impossible with hard work and preservance,,,i just turned 16 im 5'10 and a half...all i want to achieve now is to dunkk this inspires me a lot
You have no idea how much this video inspired me. I was 5,5 when I wanted to play volleyball. One look at the net and I felt like giving up. I could barely touch the top of the net. When I saw this video a couple month back I was astonish. Now I can jump so high my head is over the net. This show me what real determination was. I now also believe everyone can achieve their dream if they actually work for it. You a real one.
you have a brilliant intuitive understanding of form on your jumps and your lifts. great video, feeling inspired to train and love it the way you do it.
Hey man, I love hooping, I played my whole life but unfortunately I’m only 5’9 lmao and I stopped growing, I’m 23 now. I stopped playing basketball about a year ago, haven’t played since and watching this in the morning being 30+ lbs overweight, but seeing this right now. You kid, just sparked a light of energy in me. Seeing your progress and just a little kid makes me think damn, if lil homie can do it, so can I! Thanks lil homie 💪🏽
Inspirational stuff man. Sometimes I have doubts about whether I'll ever be able to dunk, but I was jumping higher than you, shorter than you, and younger than when you first started. It's been 8 years now. Nearly got a dunk yesterday, I have yet to land one ever. I better get to work!!!
@@user-ke5ub2ho8f dats what's I'm sayin blud when u see dese big niggas dunk it's like yh okay cool but when dese small man here dunk it's like oh snap sn my man's really doing his ting
Great shit kid!!! I'm pretty sure ur a inspiration to a lot of people, old or young. Be relentless and nvr quit 4ever thou!! Not jus for the moment or time being. God luck & God Bless n great song
Amazing! Way to put in the work! It's going to carry you far in life. My son is 13 and 5'2". He's been working out similarly to you and has the same goal - to dunk. Your video was a huge inspiration to him. He's now confident that when he hits his growth spurt, he'll be able to dunk too.
I just started training for dunking today Everyday do 5 sets of 10 squat jumps 5 sets of 10 toe rises 5 sets of 10 slow squats 3 sets of 10 deadlift Going to see if I see any results after a week
Same i just started my training about a week ago. Im doing 50 lunges 20 squats 50 box jumps 25 depth jumps 100 elevated calf raises 50 pogo jumps All with 5 lbs ankle weights and weighted vest soon. Good luck and hope u get ur dunk g
@@schurch_12 doing many reps of bodyweight workouts are for losing fat and getting a general fit body. it is still helpful because you become lighter but for building muscle and strength, it's better to do six to ten reps of weighted exercises. also, make sure you work on foot placement and landing so you don't hurt yourself. jump high, king.
Now thinkin of it took me a year to reach the backboard (by the way im 5’7’7) at that point i thought i have worked harder than anyone could at that time, now lookin back on this video. This is some inspiration shit
At 5’ 4” and also 15 this is huge motivation, thanks a lot and congratulations! Right now my vertical is rough 27” standing, standing reach is about 6’ 8-8.5” and I’m working my way to dunking on 9’ and also working on 2 foot approach jump technique (if I dunked on 10’ standing I would need about a 44” vertical) Again, very inspiring!
Your technique improved so much in that year, on the first clip it was really bad but you kept on going and it became co much better. You are an inspiration for me to keep going. Im 6ft with rather short arms and training to hopefully throw down that first dunk soon
Great job! Dude I am 5’8 and I’m in 9th grade and still I can just touch the net. You gave me motivation man like really height doesn’t matter all you need is hard work
The song brings back memories from my journey to dunking when i was at your age, it was my go to song when trying to hang on the rim. Good times, years after, got my ACL Torn. It was sad i cant dunk off one foot, Surgery is super expensive i'd rather buy a car. My advice to you kid is to never ever try to block some one so high up in the air cuz thats what happened to me i got the block then stepped on the foot of the player i blocked. Years of hardwork gone in less than a minute I'm 5'7" too
I am 6'1 in 7th grade and I did my first dunk start of this year, it took a bit not gonna lie, but this vid was inspiring. Congratulations:)) Keep it up
let's not forget that being tall and managing to jump high just to touch the rim isn't enough, there are many people that can do that but jumping with the ball and doing dunk is a next level!
Everything is possible if you put dedication and effort, this 15-year-old boy managed to do what few do, and who tells you that you can't do something? don't give up bro
dam bru i was blessed with a 8'6 standing reach at 6'1 touching rim comes very easy this is motivational, i have never dunked before because i'm 236 lmao
bro just lose weight and you will dunk without jumping. at your height you only need a 24 inch vertical to dunk. and an 18 inch to touch rim. me im 5'8 with a short standing reach, i need a 34 inch to touch rim
i feel ashamed to he 6ft+ at 15 and not being able to touch the rim😭28/03/21 edit: i can now grab the rim 02/04/21 next: dunking a tennis ball edit no2: 27/06/21 can now dunk a tennis ball consistently next: trying a bigger ball
Congratulations. To be 5’7 and still dunking is insane. I’m 6’0 as a 13 year old, and I was in the gym doing vert training and now I can dunk, keep training and by the time your 20 you will have zions vert. 👍
@@jayus2033 idk what your trying to say but I’m in the gym constantly if u look a my upload schedule it’s because I want to pursue either American football or basketball
@@jayus2033 lmao I have a lot to gain on I play aau rn but I’m very good at handles but tend to not know what to do in pressure situations and I average 13,7 and 6 wich isn’t bad at all but I have a lot of room to improve
dammm, the dedication that takes is unbelievable, As someone who plays soccer as a main sport because I love it and I'm a REP, but I still LOVE basketball, everyday after school I play by myself at home, practicing my handles and shooting as I aspire to be shooting guard, You have truly inspired me. to train my hardest, not because I don't always train my hardest to prove my coach that I'm better that this other kid, but I still need to train even harder, be more focused and train even when I don't have to, and I'm sure you have done the same for others, I want to be like you, dedicated, strong. that's a sub, a like and a share! Thank you!
Have been wanting to dunk for a while but just started taking it seriously and have been doing this daily for a few days 50 lunges 20 squats 50 box jumps 25 depth jumps 100 elevated calf raises 50 pogo jumps All with 5 lbs ankle weights. Im 6 foot and can grab rim with no jump training really so its not as much work but its still a grind. Contrats g
This motivates me to work even harder cause I’m in 7th grade right and and 5’9 touching rim and I’m almost there. Ig I realize work does really pay off
good job brother, good job for not giving up in those days when you saw you have no progress...I am 5'11 and my dream was to dunk and get an at least 35 inch vertical but I was sad because I did everything right but I didn't see any progress so I quit this dream...one of the worst decisions of my life...
