The point is that Roadhog pre-nerf can get value without relying on his 1 shot hook combo with a good playstyle, even against his counters. Meaning this playstyle will be the key to success post-nerf. And no, the nerf was not his rework, his rework is planned for a later date.

The nerfs are making hog players play with more awareness. You can’t take big risks anymore, so positioning and aiming have to be on point. I only wish blizzard reduced his hook cooldown by 1 second to keep up with other tanks cooldowns like Orisa.

The Idea here is that Hog is able to counterplay and coordinate without solely relying on his one shot mechanic, which means there is still room for him to find value against enemy tanks post-nerf! He won't be S-A tier like before, but I think he can settle down as a niche pick until the supposed rework.

Hey Krow I have an idea cause I love watching your channel for the educational points of view you have. But the idea is what if you do subscribers educational reviews. Showing the good and bad plays they are making teaching viewers of what to do or how to get better going up the ladder. Similar to how you do number 1 player vids. I think the changes felt like it traded the one-shot combo for more consistent DPS overall, I felt SUPER comfortable playing him after the patch, I mean, you can't really hook combo one-shot full-health enemies anymore obviously, but his buffs to his gun really made it much easier to deal with heroes that used to hard-counter him, like Orisa. Made it easier to deal with multiple enemies as well.

I've come to learn that if you hook from high ground then you can in fact still one-shot with hog. It's super unreliable, but If you can get a squishy hooked in a way that they fall towards you then they will still get close enough to one-shot + melee to death.

hog is so easy to counter even on OW2 yeah he got his 1 shot(COMBO) and vape the ROOT OF THIS PROBLEM is KIRIKO herself not hog per say she enables hog removes sleep/nade her ult combo's well with hogs ult too

Talking about how he’s still broken, but shows a analysis of hog pre-nerf. This doesn’t prove anything that he’s viable post-nerf. Yeah the strategies he implemented are still viable but those are pro players, every hero has similar strategies to their kit. Hog isn’t the worst hero tank now, but is definitely Low B tier at best. He gets countered by to many things now, and doesn’t counter enough with a limited kit to be still viable. Until he gets extra utility he won’t see being picked much in higher ello.
