Unlike some other comedic bands, Nanowar are always changing up both the music and the humour for every song. It's always still very Nanowar, but you never know exactly what you're going to get.
Nanowar music videos always make me feel jealous cause it just looked like being on set must have been an absolute blast. Like, how they ever get fucking anything done is beyond me
I've known of these guys for a while, and I don't remember the song in particular, but I checked out a video some time ago, and it just didn't do anything for me. But they just kept popping up and popping up, so when Disco Metal showed up, I gave it another chance, and that song really did it for me. I was like, okay, I get it. Then I watched this video and it fucking cracked me up. "Unholy dandruff pollinate my chair" is god damn masterful songwriting.

Awesome to see their progression on the production level. They started from black and white amateur video with chasing and punching posers and playing kids bicycle instead of drums. And videos like THIS we have today. It is just a TOP TIER.
Nanowar are playing Summer Breeze this year. I'm going to take my daughter to that festival this year, and if they do not play opposite a band I like more, I am definitely going to be in the crowd for that show.

Nanowar is my favorite band (along with Saxon) and I had the opportunity to watch them live and it ROCKS. The issue with the metal scene is: they subvert and 😂 about metal cliches and some people will not respect that. I don’t care. Manowar try to be serious and they have their niche, Nanowar are not serious and have a different niche. Probably there is no overlap. But both had a lot of hard work. They can be 10x huge in impact with full time dedication

Just saw these guys live on tour with DragonForce on the 8th, and holy shit! The only disappointing part of their set was that it was only 30 mins, but it was everything I expected it to be at an amplified level! Can't wait for them to return to the US with longer sets!

Yup, love this! The best comedy music acts certainly do good music which is funny rather than just funny music, and the variety is important too. Not every Nanowar of Steel release is a hit with me, but I'd much rather they experiment and cross boundaries than keep coming out with the same material.

i really hope, you can get to watch them live soon, cause: boy oh boy, they deliver a f****** show and a half. Seen them twice already and the next festival i will attend, they will be my main reason to go there and again, have some beers with the band afterwards, when they roam through the crowd, as they usually do. And let me tell you: a band, going bananas on stage while their singer is putting together an IKEA table for Valhalleluja and hauling it into the audience has to be one of the most WTF-funny moments at a festival - period
The nice of Nanowar is that they get inot a genere, choose a band, make a parody not only of the musicality buyt also the type of lyrics od that band and on top o that invite someone from the band to play along just be clear of what they are doing. And they ace it!
During the chorus I’m eerily reminded of the chorus from Hämatom’s “Es regnet Bier” which they did last summer in their song battle vs Saltatio Mortis. Just that main chorus.

Really love these guys, I think my fav song of theirs would have to be vegan velociraptor. I also think if they teamed up with another comedy band like say psychostick the metal scene would dookie the bed.

Okay am i the only one who thinks the chorus is almost identical to AQUA's song Roses Are Red? As in "roses are red violets are blue, honey is sweet but not as sweet as you" give it a listen and you'll see what i mean.

If you like such funny music videos where you don't know what's the heck going on (and performers plays with straight faces), you can pay attention to band Little Big. It's not metal, but you like Electric Callboy (for example), I see. Little Big are rather simular genre. At beginning they performed rave-punk, nowadays they play mostly pop (but sometimes goes back to the basics). With lot of humour. Songs itself are not a something outstanding (although very catchy), lyrics mostly primitive . But videos are masterpieces. I'd not recommend their cover of Backstreet Boys "Everybody" for the first look . Better find original songs - "Rock, paper, scissors", "Moustache", "Hypnodancer", "Skibidi" (and then "Skibidi romantic edition") and "Gimme your money". "Everybody" worth view to if you like searching various references - there are tons of it
Take away the lyrics and this is literally 90% of powerwolf music. Got tickets for the recently and was shocked that it was the 250 capacity O2. Thought they'd have had the same venue Lorna did.
