Every so often, a build or a new car just runs perfectly right out of the gate. Here are those times when we knew we struck gold as soon as we started the car.
Motor Trend, you guys left us with a void. I know I've filled that with Hoonigan for sure. I don't mind low budget "low" power builds. I like the connection that we had.
The antics you guys pull take me back to the late 70's when I was doing all the stuff your doing now. Not sure how I managed to survive those days.. LOVE your shows, wish you'd stayed on YT
My S10 SS would probably surprise these fellas. It has over 250,000 Miles on everything and it still runs like a top. It wasn't easy either. I spend every other weekend working on it to keep it going. I love that truck. It broke down three times, the fuel pump relay died, the radiator exploded and the starter stopped. I'm not going to stop fixing it anytime soon either. I'm thinking about dropping a 327 under the hood...
Nope. Those teasers of the stuff that made Roadkill famous will NOT make me come to dark side and pay up. Its not a matter of money, its matter of principle. You took an organic thing that was great and people loved it, and caged it up into corporate world, slapped price tag on it and expected that gearheads will sheeple over. Nope.
Brings back so many memories of this show. Still watching to this day on what they can make or break for burnouts, drag racing and most of all, cross country driving.
You all forgot that RU-vid and the viewers/fans made Roadkill, and the other shows you all offered, reach the heights it did, then you all went off and took these shows off YT and decided to charge us. I was and still am very dissapointed.
ibiscar06 dude you can still watch them for free on the motortrend website the subscription just gives you episodes a bit earlier edit: and as a person who’s had a subscription since the website was in beta it’s worth it
What happened to never seeing roadkill on a syndicated network? I knew when it hit discovery channel it was all down hill from there..... Its a shame really
5 bucks a month? Really, there is more than that in most man caves, in empties! AND, that provides EVERY show in the network, not just Roadkill. Its a no-brainer.
Some feedback - these nostalgia trips aren't going to get me to go to another platform even for free. It's inconvenient to have to check another place for content.
The sponsorship program has made large strides in bringing back flexibility to content creators. If they can make videos a month early for sponsors, they could bring a lot of traffic back from youtube. They may also be able to have creator exclusive content such as the roadkill garage show and such. Although, they'd be making much less than with their own platform as I'm sure it's more than 2.50 or whatever share the creators get of the 5$ a month sponsorship fee.
Ah, nostalgia. If only it put sufficient money in my pocket that I could afford this luxury. Wow, at 17:19 that engine sounded like the time-traveling Delorean spooling up! XD That right there made this worth watching for me. Hope everything gets released for free or on DVD someday!
It be nice to have this guys showing off there cars and participating on the burn out contest , in automotion 2019 in wisconsin dells , thousands of cars get together from all over the country for 2 days !
The golden days of Roadkill, watching two normal guys live out our vehicular dreams and fantasies that we will never be able to make come true are long gone and over with. The two gentleman who were our adoring hosts deserve the rise in income I'm sure they have received. They want the best for their families so it's a good thing for them. As for the rest of us broke car nuts...we can quit wasting our time watching other people have fun and focus on ourselves again. I think there's a Charger on Craigslist I need to attend to.
I used to do both. Would watch roadkill for breakfast before going to work on my car. It was good motivation, and good examples of what not to do haha. But you make a good point.
@@yyeezyy630 I don't have a problem with someone making money, even a large corporation like the one that owns roadkill now. But, they PROMISED that RK would always be free on RU-vid, and I don't support someone who breaks promises. Of course, that's like believing a politician. It's a matter of principal.
Tyler's Neighborhood Garage they didn't break any promise it is still free on RU-vid you just don't get to watch new episodes lol the problem is they make more money having people pay to watch their videos then they do posting them and letting people watch them for free
There's something utterly addictive about roadkill - all the ingredients work brilliantly . But you'll have to find some way of bringing it back free to view as seeing all the comments show people ain't gonna pay to see it . You'll lose your fan base.
scene 1.02 minutes....when you can't punch your buddy in the face for risking your life, but instead want to act cool in front of him, like it wasn't a big deal..even tho you know people in the hobby who had their lives altered by the damage done in a roll over caused by junk equipment pushed too far. We've all been there, and years later when the matter came up over beers, laughed nervously and changed the subject :)
i can see why people are complaining but why not just keep signing up for 30 day trial memberships under different emails whenever a new roadkill is posted and for those outside the US use a VPN and watch that way for the payment info just use a prepaid visa giftcard or something theirs easy ways to get past the pay wall but honestly the new episodes arent even worth all that hassle...oh well back to motorweek retro views
When roadkill was still on YT i was considering Sub. to MTO to see mike musto and Roadkill garage, maybe some other stuff too. Changed my mind as soon as they ended YT roadkill. With a big cliffhanger too!!! Had they shown us the big show down at dirt fish and ended it like that, I would have had more respect and prob woulda paid to see more seasons. But instead I got bribed with my own fav show. Could have been a great finally, but they used the awesome climax to try to make me pay. I was gonna before, now i just feel cheated.
Miss roadkill. I won't pay either, sorry motortrend. Loved the old episodes, low buck cars, something "Everyman" could do. Could hang out with Dolcich and Freiberger on the farm all day, every day.
