I started high school this year and I'm a little like the prodigy. While I'm not insanely smart or something, I used to be one of those kids considered "brilliant" in middle school, but now, being in a high school full of smart people, I started to feel really worthless, firstly because I have no friends (thanks, pandemic) and secondly because it's so easy to cheat now that, even if I studied for the tests, there are kids who just cheat and, sometimes, get better grades. Also, this thing made me start to understand that I have no personality. :)

The prodigy kids are usually just kids who have had either the strictest parents ever, or the smartest parents ever or both. My parents would literally yell at me if my GPA was lower than 5.0. And I didn't realize other parents weren't as strict as mine on grades until 7th grade.
