Maybe I'll start a community tier list to keep track. Serious question, though: the CEO of Dean was fired?!? And he's in a legal battle... WITH HIS MOM?? Thanks for finally getting around to my guitars dude. It's been like... a year since I uploaded those pics of the Solar and the FGN? The FGN has been modded since that picture was taken. It's had a stainless steel refret, a TP6 tailpiece and a pair of Seymour Duncan Black Winters in gold covers to keep the look. The Solar has EMG 57/66's in it but has otherwise stayed stock. Both guitars absolutely smoke.
I forgot to mention the Rosewood neck tele is a partscaster as well. The neck was refretted in stainless steel, the body is ash with a nitro finish and the pickups are a set of Lollars. :)
Wasn't that just called Dark Gray? It's a 540P for sure though, those non-perpendicular sides are a dead giveaway. It always looks some kind of wrong to me no matter the angle.
It's my guitar! It actually looks slightly green in person. I don't know the name of the finish though. It was a good price, I wasn't even sure of how rare they were until I researched the model after purchasing.
Hey Hunter, the V100 is mine and is between 330-380 gbp in the uk. It’s by far the heaviest Les Paul I’ve experienced (11.2Lbs), and has a double bound body, kinda like a custom standard. Would be great if you could check one out in the future, would love to hear your thoughts
I got a V100AFD Paradise or what´s it called (the slash thingy) love the looks, handling and sound but that things is heavy af. I played a 1.5h show with it and thought my shoulder broke :D
Fyi the gold pickguard and chrome hardware things is very common in the fender world - it’s the only widely accepted mix of the two and not really looked at the same as having gold tuners but chrome plates, it’s more so like a gold finish with chrome hardware
Love my fgn tele.. I hated teles for most of my life cuz of the headstock.. fgn solved that goofiness.. wiggins vintage wind pickups and we got a slick twang machine.. love these vids
How can you not like the tele headstock? Its the single coils that kept me away from them. But in 2022 ive bought 3 teles, so i eventually changed my mind
@@Ottophil I just never liked the shape of it.. I always thought it looked off... but it grew on me once I turned around 40.. great sounding instrument for sure regardless
Hey Hunter, the vintage guitars that I tried here in Germany so far are a okay. You just have to take a closer look on the neck profile before buying it. Some models seem to have a really chunky neck. This is what drives me off, because I'm sort of a C or Modern C guy. :D But I guess if you consider this before buying, you will just get a lot of guitar for your money. I personally like Harley Benton more. ;)
Honestly, you're probably to nice of a person to roast your fan's gear. If you decided to be a bit more savage, Aggrofish is probably a name to consider for the segment! :)
I have a FGN Elan Expert, and i must say it intonates very well, better than any of my other guitars. Is it the CFS? Im not sure. But that guitar has some pure tuning to it
oh man, you should roast tf outta this one guitar I have. It's a little squier jazzmaster but some dingus put jim root's emg set in it and upgraded a bunch of the hardware. it's so cringe omg
Weird position to be in isn't it Hunter - that the mid-range has gotten so good in value for money/ specs/ playability that you're burnt out about them? Yes, they are all very similar - many of the same parts, features, woods, finishes - so I agree that they need to be special to stand out from the pack. It'd be nice if some of these companies can get the confidence to start adding their own flavour to their designs.
"Black, pointy metal guitars are so cliche." Quite the opposite, actually. The all-too-common Superstrat or Les Paul is what everyone seems to be using. That is why I gravitate TO pointy guitars, and oddball stuff in general. If only all these Explorer copies would have a Hipshot, and a longer scale length, then you might get me away from my Paul Reed Smith.
I think the Vintage guitar looks cool, but that sure is the absolute worst name for ESO, isn't it? I can't even think of a fancy google modifier that would fix that search.
28" scale length. Grade-A maple top and mahogany body plus ultra-playable neck shape. 496R and 500T humbucking pickups...sick ass guitars. U gotta get one!
