Hey no harm done. You may not have been in to my guitar but you gave my Bongo bass some love. And yeah, you're not wrong. She do be sounding T H I C C (P.S. the guitar is a Jason Richardson. Slightly-less-flat 15" radius. I can't really go much flatter without my hand hurting.)
Alright, so some corrections with mine! The LTD on the left is a 401VF with a super distortion in the bridge and a 36th PAF in the neck, and Gotoh locking keystone tuners The Epi has an EMG 57/66 set and yes it has Hipshots The Grzenia does indeed have an EMG 57/66 set And the Jet City is one of the new Custom 2.Xs
@@agufish it’s so good. Basically the same as the JCA22H, but mine has the higher gain voicing with the optional effects loop and depth knob. Sounds like a mini SLO!
Yeah I was like bruh. Not only did he call it a JP but also a 150, meaning Sterling. 🤢 This dude has to get a pass though because he's not too knowledgeable about Music Man and he has admitted to that before.
Lmao I’ve done so many mods to these and the Ibanez has left my possession since I submitted in favour of a VB EC-1000. But yeah, loving this series already
Hunter, I have learned that the space occupied by a P-90 soapbar and a mini-humbucker plus its mounting ring is the same. That would allow for easy replacement of a stock mini-humbucker with a P-90. That fact, plus the fact that you and I both find the soapbar-plus-mini-humbucker combination highly unlikely suggests to me that that small modification was done. All they'd have to do is hang onto the original neck P-90 to preserve whatever resale value the axe has. Under that circumstance, I would support that mod on the basis of that remarkable combination of pickups. Indeed, I'm considering pulling the neck pickup out of my Hamer Sunburst Archtop and putting in a humbucker-sized P-90.
Ive been looming for the ?grezenya? Rd for a while. They are 24 3/4 scale roads kinda like the discontinued epiphone rd roads. Eastwood also makes an rd reproduction with the original 25 1/2 scale
Fun concept. Really shows how well you know what’s been on the market over the past 10 years. Could do without the “what about you?” at the end of every one though. Keep saying it like that and we’ll just call the segment that.
*looks at a Jason Richardson guitar Hunter: I don’t bond well with John Petrucci guitars But this was fun! Can’t wait to add my new Framus to the discord when it arrives
The wi-fi code for that ibanez at the end is RGA42FM-DEF. I saw the 7 string version of it at a local store once and that top is indeed hecking gorgeous, looks a lot better in person than in pictures IMO. Actually contemplated buying it just for the mod potential lmao, they are quite inexpensive too at like sub-400$ afaik.
I have one and it was the first guitar I ever bought. It's light as f*ck for being a Mahogany body and the neck is really thin with a 16" radius. I changed the tuners to some hipshot locking tuners and I'm planning to swap out the stock pickups for some seymour duncan black winters at some point
My boy Nate front and center as he should be, absolute Australian legend with a crippling addiction to leslies, we like to say 50% of the leslies in Australia belong to Nate and the other 50% already have or someday will. Also has a great taste in guitars.
Rad seeing you again bud! I still have the Eko, sold it to my mother when I needed $$$, but it's still in the family. Recently picked up a 1971 Fender Twin Reverb too.
If I recall correctly (and Gibson haven't changed it recently) a Gibson SG has the full sized pick guard while the epip's have the batwing. So from what I understand, that would be a Gibson
Sooo... I'm an idiot and I don't know who to ask, so I'll just ask here: How do I get permission to post pictures in the submissions thread on Discord? 😬
Always wanted to take a sg or even a ltd viper n put in a set of zombie dust pickups put a lsd humbucker in the bridge n a p90 doomster in the neck. Best combo of pickups still want a lee malia single cut or RD.
I have a suggestion. Hunter, since your theme or logo is fish related (mola mola) you can use fish related names for this series, example ….. Flounder (pass) , Catfish ( for WTF type of guitars) and Shark (smash)
Wow, Peavey guitars. Hadn't thought about those in a long time. Had friends in high school who would argue Fender vs. Peavey all the time. Though I do have a cheap Peavey bass that has served me well. Another brand I haven't thought of in a long time is Yamaha.
You liked the humbuck bridge/p90 neck combo until you saw the gold top, and said you've never seen that combo... I bet that gold top is a blast to play a set with!
I have played guitar and bass for many years, and built them for almost as long. So, because of this I probably have more appreciation and respect than I otherwise would for shapes, and designs, that I may not really like all that much. That said, looking at the Bongo bass just makes me shake my head, and recoil. It's the visual equivalent of smelling rotten meat, or really curdled milk. It's one of the few bass designs that I genuinely have no interest in playing, owning, or especially building. I actually built a bass very similar to that design about 12 years ago, and it wasn't enjoyable throughout the experience. I was genuinely afraid that lack of enjoyment, my almost disinterest or dislike, in the instrument and the build process, would go through and show up in the instrument when the owner received it, but fortunately he really loved it! ... and wanted me to build another one just like it with six strings. I apologized and told him that I wouldn't be able to fit it into my schedule.
Why would I need you to rate my guitar? I know it's awesome. 😏 Minus my ibanez RG that puked out it's bridge claw screw, that one sucks cause it's unplayable till I fix it.
I like the Eko guitar. Awesome!!! A really good guitarist can play any guitar. Every guitar gives me inspiration. Even the very bad ones. You just have to be openmided and adapt to the instrument.
Glad that you liked my axe mate. She's a '63 500/4. I plan on finding another one as I sold that one to my mother. Although I might get it back eventually.
