To be fair people age way slower than like 30 years ago. Both of them still look like their in their early 30's even though one is already 40+ and the other is in his late 30's. Give it another 10 years and they'll look older and more mature
Growing up from 97-07 were the best times and The Sopranos were part of it, crazy how every time anyone from the sopranos cast does an interview they have some of the funniest stories while on set!😌👌
Robert had a lot of problems, during the show and after. Neither have really done any major acting since so they are not in the public eye anymore really
Love the Tony Sirico stories, I lived in Bay Ridge Brooklyn and on the corner, there was an Italian bakery I would go every Sunday and on occasion I would run into him there. No one would bother him, but he was super polite and would give that grin of his. My mom is Italian, and he reminded me of a few of my uncles. He was the best of the best!
Yeah he definitely reminded me of my Uncle's growing up as a kid being around them all the time. Whenever I watched him it brought back great memories of those days. RIP Tony 🙏🍷☕
Jamie Lynn is a phenomenal actress and should receive much more acclaim. The scene in her bedroom, when she is threatening to run off to Europe and is confronted by Tony and Carmela is amazing. She finally confronts Tony when she says that questions him about his story of “waste management “You can see the pain in her eyes , a daughters eyes, that her father , the man she loves, has disappointed her , but now he knows that she knows what he truly is . She runs out of the bedroom but before the pain in her face is so strong . Truly a phenomenal piece of acting, brings tears to my eyes whenever I watch it. She captures all of it . Bravo!!!
Watch the scene , watch her face as she struggles to answer Tony and then her chin dimples and she is on the verge of tears! Don’t know if she is a method actor or not but wherever she brought those emotions from wss as s truly remarkable
@@ErnestoMike Sunlight is good! Life experience I have , that’s why I know whats going on in her head and you think that she is disappointed because she didn’t get a “tuna sand”. Your clueless
Not long after The Soprano’s ended I met Jamie at a club in NYC. I’m a huge fan and asked her a bunch of Soprano’s questions. She was totally sweet and cool and gracious. I’ll never forget it. Great video!
Lol. I asked her if Tony was really dead? Is there going to be a movie? etc. She smiled and said “I don’t know. We’ll have to see…” She’s awesome. I grew up in NYC and never approached celebrities like that but I had to say what’s up to Jamie.
Most people don’t realize that the Sopranos has the biggest cult following to this date. Some people can just list off obscure facts that most people missed in the show. There’s a Sopranos meme for everything. Greatest show of all time.
Regardless of what Jamie Lynn and Robert do with the rest of their lives they will always have a legacy to be proud of. They were on one of the greatest if not the greatest TV drama of all time. Tony Soprano was the first real anti hero to star on a show as the guy we are kind of rooting for. The Sopranos opened the door for the success of shows like The Wire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Ozark, etc.
Numerous arrests aswell, I'd rather live in the real world into my late twenties and thirties then make it if I was going to so you've already developed
I suspect the recast Jamie mentions for being unprofessional/unprepared was Fairuza Balk. She was supposed to play the FBI agent who turned Adriana but not only was she recast, all her scenes were reshot, removing her from the show completely. Pretty wild.
@robotempire Gordon Street? Ah, yes, Gordon Street. I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. Long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think her and the promise that I made which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street. That's uh, five blocks up, two over
Jamie is wrong. People "weren't" hung up on Sopranos. People still "are" hung up on it. I've watched the entire thing three times, probably four counting every youtube clip I've watched and rewatched. And I know I will watch it all over again at least a few more times.
I always have a rewatch going of the Sopranos. I think I'm on my 6-7th round, excluding reaction videos to the entire series lol. As soon as you finish it it's just a matter of time until you start up the pilot again 😂
@@illz09gadda watch the whole show tho not just short little clips y’all don’t even remember Don Junior he had the best soprano clips but got copyrighted
The way they talk of the filming and set atmosphere and family environment reminds me of the way the Battlestar Galactica cast spoke of their show. Both are hallmarks of excellent television and it really shows how that atmosphere they had contributed to it, especially Robert talking about how things like the robe where just common place to them being at the job day in and day out, just like a real family.
The Diva was Fairuza Balk (girl from The Waterboy), she was originally cast as Adrianas undercover FBI agent (Deborah/Danielle). She filmed 1 scene in the store where she first meets Adriana then is never seen again. The scene is on youtube. She got replaced instantly. Horrible.
More Sopranos actors ignoring that Oz was the first drama HBO show before them. Even Edie Falco claims the Sopranos was the first drama show on HBO and she was on Oz before Sopranos. 😂
YES And I watched Oz first before Sopranos debuted, still holds up to this day but never gets the attention that it should. Thank you for mentioning this.
Yes thanks for the comment I just rewatched The Sopranos HBO is was rerunning it Jan. 5 thru Jan. 11, 2024. I watched with new eyes because I am twenty something years older. I hope HBO reruns OZ that would be great plus most of the actors , acted in Law and Order episodes.
@@Jsjsusi if I see an attractive, single woman , I might refer to her as attractive. I don't encourage myself to feel attraction to a married woman, hence the term covet. Is this really that hard for you to grasp?
Friggin Robert, so humble. He may not be the best actor in the Sopranos crew... He did brilliant work right along side James, who is the best actor, him and Edie. He was on James' level in AJ's late teen/adult years.
They look so great. Not that they shouldn’t, but it’s nice to see. Celebrities are frozen in time so sometimes when you see them years later it can be jarring.
19:24 that must have been Fairuza Balk that was replaced as the FBI agent Jamie Lynn was talking about. Jamie always looks great on her podcasts, various interviews like this one. I agree, Larry Sanders was another excellent show, the funniest. 21:33 Jamie stated perfectly here why The Sopranos was superb.
Robert Iler, is such a joy listening to you. His candidness about his personal life, and he grew up to such a well spoken articulate young man. I wish him well. He’s a good little actor actually. He could easily get back into it if he wanted that career.
Pretty sure the cologne they’re talking about Paulie actually got searched in an episode and he had to explain what the tiny bottle of cologne was. He really was that guy in real life lol
I'm always surprised actors say they never watched the show or movie you were in. How can you not be interested in the result of all the work and effort put in?
The Sopranos is the greatest tv show of all time and will never be equaled! James Gandolphini was a great actor and a superb cast heightened his greatness. I fancied meadow from day one coz I’m in the same age bracket absolute stunner ❤ the show ❤ the cast ❤ the scripts absolute genius!
Eyebrows don't grow back sometimes. They used to make old-time actresses shave their eyebrows, and then draw them on for a role, many (Debbie Reynolds, Gloria Swanson, etc..) complained they never grew back.
@@GTAxpertPlay but Tony was set up in previous episodes to be taken out. His last scene with Paulie.. Paulie knew he was getting whacked. Tony was right to want to whack him
I’m hoping there’s another mini series or movie where AJ is now in the Jersey mob……anybody who died is still dead and anybody who didn’t actually die in real life can appear on the show…….although, there’s not a lot of people left who could do it; wether they died in real life or on the show
I wonder who the Diva female guest star was? From what I can remember, the show had only had 3 *really* famous 1 appearance guest stars: Janeane Garafalo, Annette Benning and Nancy Sinatra
On a show like The Sopranos which is filmed almost entirely on location where do the actors get dressed and get makeup put on them? Did they have a main office for things like that and then drive them to what was going to be their "set" for the day?
Never understood how actors appeared in a series, but never watched the series in its entirety. For example, I thought I heard Jimmy Walker say he never watched Good Times.
It's common sense. You need to understand that people like Rob & Jamie grew up on the show working as kids & teens so this was their life for 10 years (Jamie's words herself on another podcast with Rob) and Rob was the breadwinner for his family when he landed the AJ role (he said his family was saying they made it and could finally get out of where they were from). You show up and work these roles it's like a high-school or college that you live at for a certain amount of time despite that, It's WORK. I understand why. Jimmie Walker also said he didn't fuck with any of the cast members and wasn't friends with them outside the show. He wasn't friends with Janet jackson either stating he doesn't work with kids. John Amos got pissed at Jimmie for suggesting Brenadette aka Thelma should get into modeling and become a pin up girl like Farrah Fawcett so they could gain more fans for the show since she's gorgeous but Amos took it the wrong way and cussed him out calling Thelma a baby and saying they weren't going to taint her and exploit her (lmfao, I could see if he said playboy but poster modeling is harmless) so Jimmie rubbed people the wrong way a lot. Also he had the Steve urkel affect on people where he stole the show due to his charisma and one liners. Jimmie is the reason Amos left the show. So that may be why. Also Jimmie was doing adult stand up comedy when he was approached for the show being scouted. He didn't want to do the show originally.
I think it’s time for The Sopranos comeback with the story of Meadow and Anthony after their father’s death. Anthony taking over or struggling to take over his dads “business”.
They need a reboot with meadow in charge and AJ being her hammer for the family and she finds out Patsy her father in law had Tony killed and she plots and she has Patsy and his son whacked and rebuilds the Soprano Family sil aiebiwa his coma and is helping her in the background with advice. She becomes like Micheal Corleone she did not want anything to do with the family mob but is pulled In because of what happen to her father and sees that her mom is not being taken care of and Tony legacy and her grandfather legacy was being erased.
Ya know as weird as it sounds , I often have thought about what kind of cologne the mobsters would have on in the show , like when they get all close & hug each other U just know there’s a bunch of cologne in the air Lol , so now I can associate paulie with Obsession by Calvin Klein ! 🤣
If I were in a tv series or movie I would want to watch it, not all actors don’t want to watch what they feature in. How could you not watch the sopranos, that’s surprising.
