Such a mad lad...after I found out that he spent so much of his personal time with the troops, and being an all-around amazing, very caring person, I couldn't think of him more highly. Tony Soprano is arguably one of the greatest characters in TV history, and Gandfolfini was taken from us way too soon. RIP big fella, you were a treasure.

The way he’s able to properly play the character in a comedy setting shows how talented the man was. It’s very difficult to play a pre existing character earnestly in a comedy sketch setting. What a king of a man.

My mum got a photo with him. She is a massive sopranos fan and on a flight to NYC he sat right next to her! (This was in 2009) and he was a absolute gentleman to mum! They wouldn’t stop talking for the whole flight and the photo at jfk was awesome

I could see Gandolfini's shyness cropping up at first but he remained in character and the skit was great. Its hard to believe that he was a very shy guy in real life, he seemed so outgoing on the Sopranos, but thats why they call it acting. Its still so hard to believe he's gone.

I just wanna pour a bit of my feelings here about this show because I feel like it, even if its just words to the wind. Like most, if not all of the fans of this show, I feel James left us too soon in our mundane minds, but his part and all the other great actors and actresses that took part on this phenomenal journey that is The Sopranos will always have a very special place on us. I only started watching this show after you passed away and frankly I never watched anything you did before that, yet I was always told the greatness of this show but never had the curiosity in me to embark on this adventure that is this great piece of art. Maybe I guess it was for the best, as I was a lot more mature at that point and it helped with understanding the nuances a lot easier when you carry a certain mileage in life. With all of that said, I wanna congratulate and thank all of you for pouring out your hearts and minds in this project.

im watching the sopranos for the first time and didnt know James had passed away until my mom told me when I was discussing the show on the phone with her. I'll be honest, I got a little emotional. His ability to portray a character like Tony so well that I feel like I'm literally a fly on the wall watching a mob boss/troubled man deal with his personal demons.. RIP Mr. Gandolfini, left such an impact on me with one singular role, no other actor has done that to me before

Finished watching the sopranos yesterday night, it was one hell of a show to say the least. James Gandolfini gave one of the greatest performances in tv history. I had never heard of the guy growing up because I didn’t watch much tv or read the news. This is the first video I’ve seen of James gandolfini outside of the sopranos, and it’s just amazing to see how nice of a guy he is irl. He really IS Tony Soprano, just without all the bad traits and I still find him pretty scary how after spending 6 seasons with him as a mob boss sociopath. He really was one of the greatest actors who ever lived, such a loss to the art of acting now that he’s gone.

I haven’t been able to find another show even close to what he did for me with the sopranos. I literally go back and watch this show over and over, every season and it never gets boring or old to me. Sometimes I even catch on to things I never noticed the first 20 times I watched it. Best show ever. Plus living in nj allowed me to visit a lot of places that were in the show and that’s one of the best parts about it.

Galdolfini was a gentle giant and bore no reseblance to Tony Soprano - when his character was angry - he was genuinenly terrifying.
