I hate that they (mis)characterize this as “redemption”. There was no error or fault on Bob’s part last year - he played great, hit an incredible shot on 18 and Rory just hit an even better one. So happy for Bob - this probably means more than winning a major would for him.

It’s a dodgy drop. But it followed the rules to a tee. Any other player would’ve also asked for and received the drop

Heard his caddy trampled down the rough with his feet and golf bag where Bob took the drop soon after. Plus the debate over his "practise swing" that took out as much divot as a real swing

I mean he was standing on a sprinkler, happens all he time and everyone gets a free drop. Yes slightly lucky give he was in the rough but what do you want? It's a very standard ruling

@@hitmanfromjapan Aberg is a monster and superstar, but he has fizzled a few times recently when he's had a chance to win, so he better close a few big ones out or a bad narrative will follow him around.
