After a few mods to my robobrew, I like it alot. However you guys need to rivit the handles to the pot, one of mine broke off from lifting it with under a gallon of water in it.
16 kg of grain in a 30 L (8 gallons, 32 quarts) mash tun ? I don't think so ! 19 or 19 Kg ? Never. The mash pipe seems larger than 8 gallons. What is the total wattage of the heater in this thing ? 2,000 watts ? Or 500 + 1,000 + 2,000 = 3500 watts ? Is the element exposed or is it under the bottom of the kettle like on the other Robobrews ? The weak point of this system is the controller. Why doesn't KegLand embed an RPi in the base of this thing and let the user run whatever control software they want ? In spite of these comments, KegLand is killing it with these things ! I love how compact it is and the hop filter screen at the bottom of the brew kettle. Love the drain spigot and the extra bottom handle too.
Hi, looks great, but can I have a question about your control system? Is that true that in Auto mode, when user sets in some Step for example 71°C for 30 minutes, then the time counter starts immediately after it reaches this step and not after it reaches 71°C? If is this true do you plan any improvements in the future?
I don't have a 15amp socket, but I (right now) run 4800W of heating elements (plus March pump, music amplifier, etc) continuously for up to 3 hours off the same circuit on any brew day. Can I still use the brewzilla at full power? My circuit can handle it.
Nope. I'm running two 2400 watt elements off two points on the same line, as well as my pump, etc, all at the same time, for hours on end. I've never thrown the circuit breaker (and I've been doing it for 5 years now; many times a year). The fuse on the circuit is 30A at 240VAC, not 15A (or 16A which is more common). check out the boil I get, this is on 30L of wort.. rolling hard. I lose about 7L/hr volume when going like this, and I'm in a fairly cold-ish area. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JzMYvsBWbC4.html
KegLand has two main distributors in America. www.morebeer.com and www.williamsbrwing.com It's best to contact these guys directly and they can give you lead times and approximate arrival dates.
The answer is it can be done if you use something like this: www.bunnings.com.au/ampfibian-15a-to-10a-mini-d-i-y-power-adaptor_p7050104 So the short answer is yes it can be done but you really want to upgrade your power to 15amp. This will greatly improve you satisfaction with the unit. You might find if the cable in your wall is thick enough all you need to do is change over the GPO on the wall and this is cheap and quick for an electrician to do.
Fabio, as i have been married for forty years ive learnt a valuable lesson when dealing with the wife, i have always found it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
Whats the point of announcing a new product if you dont respond to your consumers? Theres several well known brewing youtube channels asking for product info.... who ever does pr/marketing for kegland needs to be fired lol
