Roborock S6 MaxV vs Ecovacs T8 AIVI Review 

Most of the video is talking about the S6 MaxV... not really a VS review

Hi, I'm wondering is the roborock and ecovacs roller brushes are interchangeable? and does the brushless part of the ecovac with only sucktion work on the new N8 pro?

Great review; thanks for making this. Were any of the map issues with the Ecovac due to the vibration of the mopping attachment?

On Amazon the Roborock S6 MaxV is described as a vacuum cleaner for hard floors only. Is this a mistake on their part?

How did both models performed on a carpet? That was the missing part

Hey Ben... may i ask if You had ever any News on the 3D action camera feature and hardware (handle) , that was only shown on their website at that point in time, when i mentioned it to You, about a month or two ago..i think... do you recall our conversation ? it was a 3D Mount from Insta. The 3D Mount uses two shooters of your choice to capture high-res steresocopic video.

I think stainless steel chair and table & mirrors is big issue that effect cleaning and mapping. did you face any issue ? also is the mapping issue on deebot stopped?

Are the side brushes attached on the inside by a rubber o ring. if they are, how easy is it to replace the rubber rings when they become stretched or broken and prevent the brush from spinning. The reason for my question is that on the Neato bot vac you have to removed the circuit board and practically dismantle the machine to replace a inexpensive rubber ring. Help please. Thank you

Does the carpet brush really turn on the carpet on the Roborock? Have you seen on Reddit the issues with the brush turning off most of the time? I was about to get the Roborock when I saw that issue lots of people were having, and the company doesn't seem to care. You have to do some trick to look down thru the top to be able to see if it is actually high speed spinning, or just slowly rolling as the bot moves along the carpet. Please check and let us know if it is working on yours. Thanks. Oh, as a different option, I started looking at the T8 AIVI - so perfect review for me!

Don’t waste your cash on a robot of this caliber without a self empty bin. It’s what the promise of robot vacuums has always been. Truly hands off.

I saw that on the evovac, there is a way to keep the mapping i believe its to add rooms or save rooms not sure exactly i just read there was a way to save mapping

Huh, well I suppose if anybody is interested you could also check out the Vacuum Wars channel. As the name suggests, the man behind the channel specializes in reviewing all sorts of vacuums (except central vacuums). If you're in the market for robot vacuums, stick vacuums, canister vacuums, or any other type he's got a lot reviewed. He is a bit of a Dyson fanboy though.

I don't see a VS video. It is roborock review with mentioning Ecovacs sometimes. Roborock battery issues should have got more attention than the mapping issue in Ecovacs.

Best Buy has the T8+ on sale for $449, is that a good deal?

If you have kids and a dog with crap left around, I think the Ecovac T8 would be best to avoid objects that are left on the floor. If you have to clean your house before your robot can clean your house, then what's the point. When my T8 with auto empty arrives, I'll see what I think. Nice thing is, software can be updated continuously, but hardware is what it is.

The reason it doesnt wait for lower battery is that even in 2020, no battery level indicators are accurate and cannot predict how battery performs in different conditions and wear levels. It could drop from 10 to 0 in seconds. That's why they play safe and send it home earlier. In five years time, there would be a good chance that it _never_ gets home again because the battery dies faster than new. I really wish they would let users adjust this, but virtually no-one knows how batteries work and wouldn't be able to take battery wear in to account, so I guess they are protecting users from themselves.

About S6 MAXV, witch firmware version do you use ? It's strange that it didn't recognized these objects. Mine do it better. Maybe it happened when there are too many objects in small areas... Ooooh oooh oooh, i heared bad things about battery life ! If the S6 seems to have less battery life it's probably because it had a feature activated that deebot doesn't have : carpet mode. If you disable this option, the S6 MAXV will fight with dust as long as the deebot.

I have been thinking about the Roborock AI model for a while, but.. is anyone else concerned about the data being sent to china and how china could control this information? I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything, but this is a genuine concern/fear of mine. The US Roborock website doesn't ease any concerns when their website looks like it's just been translated from Chinese and a lot of their website reviews are in mandarin.

Shame you spent so much time bigging up the Roborock and showing it's abilities. I was almost shocked, after watching it crash in to virtually every obstacle it came across as well as getting stuck on some normal carpet, that you gave it a whopping 9/10. Huh? I never really felt you covered the differences in the two machines and didn't show much of anything to do with the Ecovacs like it's obstacle avoidance for instance. My conclusion is that it's not worth watching comparison videos from RU-vidrs that are so clearly bias to the company that sent them a product. Please try and actually do a comparison when you say you are going to otherwise it's a waste of time for people like me that would like a balanced and objective viewpoint which everyone can see, you clearly failed at.

My Dreame L10 Pro can do better

i own this robot. The port to auto-evacute the dust inside the bin is too small. Therefore, be prepared to empty the dustbin yourself EVERY TIME. Other then that, it works good. FAIL FAIL FAIL🤮😡
