@@M1ckTheMan Turns out the shrinking of the city of Kandor was just all over a HOA dispute. What's that, I'm only allowed to build in this 5 inch strip of land? WELL FUCK YOU, I'MA BUILD A CITY
Can we take a minute to appreciate just how much dedication Tran-Zar had for this job? He was looking for Supes for about 30 years! They must have been paying him a LOT of cash for that level of dedication.
Plus he's super polite about the whole thing. Very professionally explaining the situation, apologizing to Ma Kent for the colorful language, requesting some coffee if it's not too much trouble. All-around upstanding bloke, that Tran-Zar...
Oh he's probably pursuing other cases in the meantime. Plus IIRC Kryptonians are nigh on biologically immortal (with medical treatments) so he's got time.
@@blackshadow37_Wraith probably not likely since he was apologizing to her for the use of the language which implies this is the first time he’s telling the story to her. Then again, he could’ve said a brief summary before Superman showed up, just without the language
This right here is the best example of Robot Chicken's weird but strangely appealing sense of humour creating a stereotypical PI who delivers lines like "Bar-El - no relation" with a completely straight face. So many kinds of humour in one skit.
Jibriltz Actually there just ripping on all the popular tv shows, games, movies, comics, and every day life the same way people would rip on each other, so no stereotype's here
Yeah, this skit is pretty good. I just wish they put this much effort into all their sketches instead of just doing a few smart ones and the rest being bathroom humor or sex humor.
That awkward moment when you stop laughing…think…and come to the realization that of all the Superman origin theories…this is the most realistic and plausible.
@@candyfordinner7216 Pretty cool they have the same time system as it relates to revolutions around the sun and planetary turns as we do. Well 10, 11 O'clock assuming they have a 24 hour system is just about how long it takes the planet to turn as far as I know it could take 10,000 earth / krtypton 24 hour days to encircle their sun to make a kryptonian year.
This is probably the saddest short in this series - how Superman’s adoptive mother immediately comforts him in the end. And even the investigator’s like, “I understand this is a lot to take in” before asking for another cup. This felt a lot more empathetic than most Robot Chicken shorts, with the same comedy of course.
@@gregorytokas8721 what you wrote did happen but this version is more believable than the real version. An entire planet of space faring aliens wipe out when the planet explode. and no one was in space and they didn't have colonies or outpost. But they were so advanced some random could build an intergalactic spaceship for his baby.
@@JayJayM57 If i remember correctly Krypton had a red sun instead the yellow one we all know and love, meaning none of the Kryptonians had any super powers (that they knew of at least) to help them. Also even if they were space fearing, I don't think they had established colonies somewhere they could go to to survive. I believe Kal EL was in a narcotic state during his journey so he wouldn't die from malnutrition.....!
"..like 11in the mornin or 10.. whatever makes no difference i dunno why i said that the point is.." example WHY this is one of the funniest comedy (NOT JUST RC) bits ever!!
@mac 187 Calm down. Jesus. It's a running joke that Superman and Batman fuck with each other. Like I have all these amazing powers and then Batman would slip like a 1 hour blue Kryptonite cocktail in his beverage to mess with him and be like what powers?
@@dadubbsterdumpster5318 Blue Kryptonite doesn't hurt Superman only usually Green Kryptonite and Gold Kryptonite possibly red Kryptonite can cause him harm
@@DTheCritical nah buddy what the other guy means is that batman would create a blue kryptonite laced viagra and spike superman's drink with it to embarass him publicly as a joke
there's sooo much here. Clark coming to terms with the lie, telling Lois, the other super-peeps hearing, Lex finding out seeing his mom, his dad, his planet
I know it's a comedy thing...but I kinda want to see more in this timeline. Clark and Lois going to Krypton to meet his mother, The Kents meeting with their son's biological parents and that sort of thing. I mean, I don't see this storyline going the way of New Krypton, and that alone would make for a really interesting read, especially if we throw in things like Krypto and Kara into the mix. This could be a hell of a cool timeline...you know before DC reboots it again. Damn it, Berry.
serious, this need to become a actual plot for a superman comic. i want a entire saga about Superman finding out his father was just a crazy failed scientist that took revenge on a divorce against his wife by sending their baby away ona rocket.
Batman: my parent died during a mugging Superman : my dad launched me into space because he didn't want my mom to have me in their divorce. Justice league: we have a winner for dark messed up origin stories
I honestly wonder how superman would react lmao. Every little message and hologram messages that your dad left behind was just a coverup to make you believe you were special. But in reality, you were on earth as a result of marriage disputes that end in Superman’s father going into a fit of rage and drunkenness and blasts you off into space, not to be see by anybody for at least 20 or so years. Like how do you recover from that 😂
It's one of those comedic moments that draws entirely from dialogue, no slapstick or punchlines, just a long dialogue on the hilarity of the situation and where it puts Clark.
Its such a nice detail isn't it? Like anyone with casual knowledge of the Superman mythos probably wouldn't have come up with this. No, whoever came up with this skit knew his stuff. Its a detail only a hardcore Superman could know.
This is one of the best done scotches from Robot Chicken. The detail work on the attorney's hands and gestures and his tone. It's so funny and plausible. Last line is hilarious.
When I first saw this clip, I legit thought that this guy was just an actor Batman paid to get back at Superman for the “Guy with a rock” Sketch. I wasn’t the only one right?
Tranz Ars mannerisms are priceless when he tells the story and apologizes in advance to martha for his language sorry for the blue language maam thats what he said
Robot chicken and family guy (for all its faults) do some tricks with dialogue that really help sell the bits. Like the character getting stuck on a line or his "I don't know why I told you that part" something about having your characters not delivering lines perfectly really sells that it's actually a person talking or telling you a story.
They did such a good job with the lighting and the animation. It's wild to see how realistic his facial expressions were, obviously stylized but realistic within the expected medium
Well, DC has this whole multiverse thingy that says that everything happened in some universe. So this can totally be canon on one of the DC multiverses.
The reason I like this is because it doesn't make fun of Superman as Superman; it just gives him a far less dramatic but equally messed-up origin story. Hell, he'll be able to appreciate his human parents even *more* now. *They're* not messed up like this, after all.
I know I’m a little late but I like how professional this guy was even though he’s a little late to give Clark the news He still found him and told him anyways talk about dedication to the job and he was calm and collected when he told him everything even didn’t like cussing Talk about professional
