I always THOUGHT I knew what a timeout was but in the context of this game I had no idea what it was. They just got to stop the time whenever they picked formations? What? Why didn't they just do that all the time? I think I'm with Arin on this one and I actually have no clue what a timeout is

Timeouts are used to stop the game clock. That's all. Most games of football end very close and when the clock is running out of time and you're losing, you need those extra seconds that timeouts will end up giving you. In actual football, timeouts can be used much more strategically for other reasons, such as coming up with a perfect coverage to stop a super important play. This game is verryyyy primitive so timeouts literally just stop the clock. Dan was purposely stopping the clock for Arin so that Arin could maybe score again and be happy... but I think secretly Dan knew it NONE OF IT MATTERS. Danny was way ahead in terms of understanding and execution. Him helping Arin was never to going to lead to Arin winning.

It's both. We're not doing this. Football is short for Association Football. Soccer is short for Association Football. Both terms originate in the UK (specifically in English public schools where slang of the time meant that Rugby Football was "Rugger" and Association Football was "Soccer". Americans use Soccer to differentiate from American Football. Both are equally correct. We are not having this fucking stupid pointless argument. Because there's no argument to have. MOVE ALONG.
