Although they have that type of thing , it's not going to remove someone from employment because the company probably only has it on autonomous when the store isn't on peak business hours. It most likely only operates like that when no customers are crowding the store up , as you can see it is able to be manually operated hospitals have similar stuff.
I worked at a walmart. It eliminates a floor maintenance janitor position or two within the store forcing them to stock or other tasks they didn't sign up for. It's all part of Walmarts new recent changes to save money and get more product on the floor.
@@SomeOne-xx5po that’s not true at all. Where I’m at they got it because no one even wants that job. It also takes people to fix it and program it so there will always be a job.
@@crazysexycool180 no. It doesn’t take a tech person to drive it a route to program it. Or swap pads or clean it out and refill it or help it when it gets stuck.
@@weaponizedwoods9273 l have just found out today that the cleaning team I used to work with will be gone in February 2022 that's 17 people in one store
you need to do your research, since the inception of the atm the banks have hire less and less live tellers, also it usta take 3 people in the cockpit to fly a large commercial airline now it only requires 2. so what are you talking about?
They don't complain, strike, call in sick, gossip or unionize. They don't require vacation, sick days, and paid leave for child bearing. Makes economic sense.
it can be driven manually Thank you please like, share, and subscribe, also please check out my other channel Salem Taxi, on RU-vid for more material on a different level.
That's about the COOLEST LOOKING robot I've EVER seen. I love going through Walmart and seeing this machine going BY ITSELF. Sometimes I wish i could climb up on the seat and ride through the aisles. How AWESOME THAT would be.
What a NIGHTMARE! Our local Walmart had the robot trial program. There was upsetting talk of women being scanned (bodies) with a bright light. There was speculation it was using x-ray vision to see through clothes. The program was shut down early and no one missed the aggravation they caused. Our were different and did not have a seat. 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖
Stop working at 5 00 AM employee to run the machine floors. Some employee don't clean the machine. They get on it not inspecting the machine first before operating. Because the cost of repairing floor machine is high and they're trying to cut the cost of the employees time in Walmart and Sam's Club too.
This is why I constantly harp on people to go get hired as- Private security guard Prison guard Paramedics/EMT Alarm & CCTV technician Etc. Long story short. Mass machine automation will result in massive technological unemployment fueling years of social unrest and souring violent crime rates. Business for those professions I mentioned will skyrocket. As those jobs aren't really automatable for the near future.
But sadly they're importing workers from other countries to do jobs like that, especially in health care. Maine was paying people in the Philippines $10,000 to come there and be nurses. I would have loved a $10k scholarship to get a nursing degree.
those things need someone to run them, fill the water tank, drain recovery tanks, clean up after them when they leave puddles of water, always requires assistance when Karen doesn't want to get out of the way. They like toddlers you have to babbysit.
When people say robots will create more jobs. Yes, for robotic engineers who had good jobs already. What about everyone else? That employee was awesome.
That is craaaaazy!!!!😱. Ain't none of us gonna have a job bro by 2025. The way A.I. (artificial intelligence) is being created. Also in construction too. They got machines that can do brick laying. Everybody's a damn robot. Pisses me off. Smh
yep but he trying to earn his money right now, and they told him to run them machines, best of luck to the dude, every job is going to be hard, not just his
Thanks to $15/hr requirement! 🤷 It doesn't call in sick. Don't have to pay Social Security for it. It doesn't complain. It doesn't stand there and BS with customer wasting time! Lol
Walmart doesn't pay $15, let you call in sick, or provide any benefits lol. Let's see what happens when no one can afford to buy stuff (but we are with the brick and mortar stores closing). It's not all online shopping, it's that the middle class doesn't have disposable incomes.
You will see more and more robots as long as people keep voting for increased minimum wage. In Denver I read that the minimums wage is going up to $17 and change. I don't blame businesses for using robots... they don't complain, they do what they are programmed to do.
"Replaces" lol right....I work at a grocery store that has one of these robotic scrubbers and i can guarantee these things aren't replacing us....a human worker can do more things than this thing can do....this is just another tool for human workers not a replacement
We are already lazy & fat my friend. The only country in the world where the poor ppl are fat & suffering from diabetes. Have u ever taken a look around u while driving anywhere? Theres a grease pit w/a drive thru at every red light. Besides who ever made this video isn't gna stop shopping at walmart or china-mart so what's the difference really?
"it's not so smart as it looks"... because it's just a machine and it just follows a pre-recorded program. So it cant be as efficient as a human. But maybe anything changed since this video was captured? Thanks to AI, Robots are getting smarter every day. In the future, all people will be either programmers or artists. Isn't it great if there is no more dirty, dumb and dangerous work?
WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN THEN WHAT? like all things do... repair is like a paycheck to the machine, plus to purchase this may cost much more than the average employee wages, just in the first year...45,000 to 60,000 dollers... oh dont forget the repairs.
With things being done by robots instead of humans it should make the prices of goods and services fall. Today you can purchase a flat screen TV for under $300 that used to cost over $5000 ten years ago. Most likely our incomes will be replaced by a universal basic income which is generated from companies being taxed for every robot they have.
but then who will have money to buy anything at all? ford used to pay his line workers above regular pay so they could afford to buy the car they make..shame we all raced to the bottom since
we got cheap shit from china, after shutting our factories down. they didn't have to pay much for labor, so the good were produce cheap( notice i did not mention quality) now china has sold us so much cheap shit that they now are making more money and paying their workers more, so trust stuff will start to rise in cost. its already happening, have you shopped lately.
when it doesnt need wages but needs repairs, who takes care of that? hmmm...? humans thats who,it cannot repaiar it self unless humans build it to do so.without HUMANS...THAT MACHINE WOULDNT EXIST.
Lmao that doesn’t replace ppls jobs lol their is still someone that has to take the robot out and set it up.. we still have the same number of maintenance at our store after we got the robots
Robots are replacing repetitive jobs and humans will need to be moved to more complex jobs. In the future the average work week could by 20 hours. In the past the average work week was 80 hours and there is no reason that it cannot drop to 20 hours.
There's TWO Walmart stores in MY town of WINTER HAVEN FLORIDA. And I've seen BOTH floor cleaning robots. I get a thrill out of watching them on AUTOPILOT.
Bruh will you guys chill about this whole "robots will rule all" sh** 1: it's all BS, all the robots are doing are helping the store 2: who would want to work at Wal-Mart that bad to be worried about robots "taking over" part of the reason they have robots for this is because most people wouldn't want to do these jobs anyway, so chill out
people dont want the jobs because walmart doesnt pay enough to pay the rent on a place to live withing distance to a walmart, THATS whats happening, helping the store lol, thats someones job that used to be paid, now it isnt , simple as...what is next 'helping the store' cashiers, filling shelves, having groceries packed in a factory and delivered all by robot..
Yep. A few workers who have been there 10 plus years at my store were affected by this. Eliminated their jobs. They must take new positions they didn't apply for.
In 10 years 70% of all human jobs will be taken over by robots! WTF this scares the hell out of me that should scare the hell out of you that will create worldwide starvation looting chaos murders ect and worldwide panic! 🤒🤕
@@gavnstrobel238 probably turn us all into slaves to service the machines like in the terminator movies, remember 20,000 leagues under the sea was written long before the first submarine.
hello, wow amazing how things change as time passes, and not necessarily for the good. This is why i said get you some education, and learn to think for yourself. as you see all the low paying jobs that dont require education are being replaced with robots, Is your job SAFE?
