A díjátadó részlete a Heart-tal. (Érdemes a végét is megnézni: Crazy On You - élőben.) Part of the show with Heart. (It's worth to watching till the end.. there is the great song live - Crazy On You)
Nancy's speaking voice sounds so much like Ann's singing voice...underrated for her singing, tho not surprising given Ann's absolute banging voice. Love Ann and Nancy.
Nancy wasn’t that under rated bro She did after all land heart their first number one with her as lead vocals Ironically . They hiked about it sometimes that Anne was bitter over that 😂
Heart was a lesser band after their departure. Musicians of equal talent came in (Mark Andes, Denny Carmassi) but the perfect original chemistry was gone.
Heart lost its identity when Roger Fisher was kicked out. Then they struggled but only with the help of other song writters did they manage to regain success. Heart was so great in the 70’s but became another band in the 80’s
I love to isolate the bass or drums or guitar in some of their really big sound records, like Barracuda and Little Queen. They are so extremely talented, which raises each song to another level. The complexities are what is needed to be on a level with the vocals and lyrics.
seriously... for those of us used to her playing live... never quite know if she will be playing a little flamenco for a little bit or a while... and then she'll just bust into that distinctive intro to Crazy on You like she was shifting a gear. :D
Why didn’t Nancy play lead, in the tribute to zeppelin? Why recruit a NOBODY to play lead. If Nancy made it in the top 10 female guitarist, why hire a guitarist to play? Im confused.
They are the killer queens of rock and roll. Ann and Nancy do it better than most men do. It was never a question whether they belonged in the Hall of Fame. They are definitely one of my favorites of all time. As a side note, my favorite part of watching Heart perform live is the way Ann and Nancy look at each other when they're doing their thing. You can see Ann watch Nancy play, or Nancy looking at her sister singing, and you see the incredibly rare and powerful bond and mutual respect between these two sisters that undeniably elevates their music to another level.
you can drop the "first-female-this and-that" tag with them...Heart is TRULY one of the greatest rock acts of all time...full stop. And you only get ONE Ann Wilson..that is a once in a lifetime voice.
If You Watch Heart With Gretchen Wilson (No Relation) Perform on CMT Crossroads You Will Be Able To Clearly See Ann And Nancy Wilson Are, Indeed, Not The People You Should Go Toe To Toe With!
It was the early 1990's. Heart was playing the Lakeland Civic Center. I lived near Tampa, close enough. I was doing parking lot security for Skippers Smokehouse. I had a crush on the bar manager, Bonnie. I invited her to attend the concert with me. She turned up her nose. "Commercial rock and roll?" Skippers is known for the blues. Well, Bonnie missed out. It was a great show! And it was being filmed for MTV! Embrace the random.:)
@@Pashasmom1 I have no clue. Ann has steadily improved over the years. Many other singers have as well. It is one of those things you can keep getting better at for a very long time. My mother started voice lessons in her 70s and now solos in her church choir in her 80s - she's at the peak of her abilities. With any luck, Ann will keep singing for us for many more years.
Bunni Armani - It means that most singers kinda lose a bit of their range and/or power by the time they’re in their 60s, but it hasn’t happened to the amazing Ann Wilson.
The Kennedy Center Honors performance to Zeppelin really showed the emotional talent they really had. They kicked it. With Jason Bonham on the kit, he raised the song ten fold. What a tribute to his dad. Ann Wilson NAILED the vocal. That performance alone granted them into the HOF.
Other than the original version, that performance at Kennedy Center Honors was the best version of Stairway I have ever heard. Chills and tears every single time I hear it
Both Ann Wilson, Heart and Led Zeppelin are amoung my very favorite musicians!!! I watch Ann, Nancy, Jon Bonham, and a whole cast of fabulous musicians completely nail that song and bring it to new heights! I literally watch it all of the time!!! Hardly a day goes by when I do not listen to it and view it! The Kennedy Center is so totally awesome! I don't ever think that I've seen a bad performance there! What an absolute EPIC tribute to Led Zeppelin!!! The band members of Led Zeppelin are literally crying tears of joy!!! They are so very, very amazed at this rendition of one of their greatest hits of all time!!!
I am literally blown away. Nancy came out with that kick in the beginning. I was shook. Then Ann comes in with a powerhouse vocal. They have not aged even a day in their talent. Nancy is murdering that guitar. Those notes Ann is hitting are next level. Why’d we get stuck with Cardi B and Taylor Swift? So unfair.
Hehe I hear ya good sir :) Am 52 and fell love with heart when I was literally 9 yrs old :) Nancy continues to become more like a fine wine:) I Love her attitude and oh crap she can really play :) Peace and Love from Canada eh :)
Sorry brother but the 70's and 80's was and will always be the best music and musicians ever to ever grace the planet ! I was so thankful to grow up in this era and to this music
No shit, Adam.. music in general today is an embarrassment to the "music" scene. HEART, Aerosmith, Boston, Led Zeppelin... No words, just listen and enjoy the Greatness in this music they gave to the World.. theyre True musicians..!
Heart is most definitely in the TOP TEN for Rock and Roll bands. The whole band is very talented but Nancy and Ann are talents we won't ever see again.
One of the greatest bands of all time, no doubt about that. What a voice Ann Wilson has after all these years, just hits the spot every time. Lovely induction speech by the great Chris Cornell did it justice.
They never got enough credit. Ann Wilson's vocal strength is one of epic proportions. Her range overall is still there. Nancy flat out, one of the most talented guitarists in R-n-R history. Epic band, love them!!!!!!
+Classic Rock No, it does not. Still good, but not better, or as good as when she was in her 20's and 30's. Reality. It is nature. Not a knock on her singing it happens to virtually everyone.
Nancy jumping around the stage like she's forty years younger. Love her rock and roll energy. Even as they age their voices are clear and young when some musicians voices fade as they age.
The Wilsons are both incredible performers. Ann with a voice up there with Freddy Mercury piercing the soul. Nancy making the acoustic a lead instrument in a HARD rock song all the while looking like she's having the time of her life. Few bands match Heart.
Emma Burney the drummer didn’t wear a hat like that. John Bonham did. If you are referring to the drummer that played with heart for the led peopling special, that was Jason Bonham, Johns son
Yeah when the band Blondie was inducted Deborah Harry and the band members that had departed sometime ago couldn't even resolve their differences long enough and be mature enough during the induction ceremony Heart set the example of what two artists and true mature people should be. Even when some members go their separate ways.
@@memoryrinehart4452All of the original band members were there (Denny Carmassi and Mark Andes) were not there. And then after the official induction the current lineup of Heart played .
Hi Dmitry! Tina has been refered to as the queen of rock for many years now, ( one source to check would be wikipedia) I stand by my comment and would go on to say that yes, she is a legend in the Soul and R&B genres as well. Dude.
kootenay womon I still don't consider Tina Turner to be a Rock singer, although she has done some Rock-oriented songs - I grew up listening to Rock radio in the 70's and 80's, and they didn't play any Tina Turner, dude. But they sure played Heart all the time.
ALMOST MAKES ME CRY - SEEING THE ORIGINAL BAND PLAYING TOGETHER. I FIRST SAW HEART IN 1978 AND IT WAS A NIGHT I WILL NEVER FORGET!!! KEEP ROCKIN' ANN & NANCY AND GUYS!!! LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!!
That was fantastic! They are timeless ❤. Hard to believe Chris Cornell & Tom Petty who are seen in this clip have both passed away. Cherish those who are still rocking! 🙏🏻
"When I leave this earth, I will look back with great love because I got the chance to sing." Wow, I love how Ann speaks from her heart and I especially love how she loves to sing. One of the greatest voices ever.
unrepeatable raddish ,yeah, but they were great. Their music was,is badass, however, I still think they're saying without saying "for a girl or a woman, they sound awesome." It's called being politically correct. But they are great,as far as their music. I love alot of their songs, because they rock, plus,Ann just sounded beautiful. I guess you have to be a natural music fan. I love those guys you mentioned. The world of music, Rock music, accepts those guys for being great singers and entertainers, and they are (were) RIP Ronnie. Because like they said Ann and Nancy, women were not thought of being rockers, still it's hard, but it's a lot more popular now. Joan Jett,Lita Ford,Suzie Quatro,Pat Benatar,Doro Pesch, need I keep going? Too bad Janis didn't live to see the blossoming of that. What if, right?
Of all the inductees over the past 29 years, Heart held their own the best. They all still play & sound great and act like they’re in their 20s. Loved it.
I grew up in the 80's and only knew Ann from Heart's 80's videos she had the big 80's hair spray hair. This is the first time I've seen videos of her in the 70's, and WOW, what a beautiful woman!! She is truly the total package.
I dont care what haters may say about heart!! one thing I can say for sure!!! What rock singer at Ann's age can still sound like she is in her 20's??? Every one looses their voice over the years but she still absolutely kills it just like back in the 70's!! and Nancy... omg... plays guitar like no other!! so please stop with the crap comments cause they deserve it to be there!!!
I guess the only one deaf here its you my friend... clearly she still can sing just like in the 70's!! Search for their 70's music videos and compare it! also they have other recent videos and they are still making alot money in tours so..... dont be gelous...
I'm a genius musican who can recognize good musicians and I honor the musicans from the past cause they were here before me and you and they are still making a living out of music! Even if they were bad why so much disrespect?? Have some manners people.
***** Meanwhile, there's trolling losers like you who have never accomplished anything great or substantial in their miserable lives - that's much better, right? Ha!
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!! you uneducated fools makes me laugh!! I feel sooo sorrrry for sore loosers like you that are gelous of successful people. Do you really think I give a flying fuck of what you two idiots think about me or the band heart!? Im sucessful with what I do so are they!! So go live your pathetic lifes and go make stupid comments someother places cause idgaf!
Diego Santos Wtf? I was defending Heart, dude, and I didn't say shit about you - why are you calling me an idiot and a loser? And learn how to fucking spell - I highly doubt that you're successful at anything if you can't even spell 3rd grade words like "loser" correctly. Talk about uneducated.
From the smooth start to Nancy's kick into the 'harshness'... it gives me absolute chills. She's definitely one of the absolute best guitarists of the last millennium
Ever watch the video for "Never"? So super retro, with 80s big hair & shoulder pads and that... 80s 'sound' (still a really cool song, but almost completely because of Ann's role) but in 1985 for SOME REASON they seemed to hide gorgeous, soulful Ann in the shadows and drug Nancy and say, "now, take your trademark kick thing to other places all over this video"; after that, I think Nancy settled into her much more mellow ...side'kick' role; )
Add to that the fact that he's playing lead without a pick, I mean I learned how to play guitar without a pick but I don't know if I could go back and play lead without a pick now... reminds me of watching mark knopfler play guitar
No doubt about it, Heart was part of the seventies rock and roll decade that I was so lucky to grow up with these amazing bands. Best rock and roll female singers, ever. Listening to the Kennedy Honors with them singing Stairway to Heaven gave me goose bumps. No one could have mastered that song better. No one. I can listen to Dog and Butterfly and cry every time. Thank you Heart for making my life more enjoyable!
Like when I heard her voice back in the day, blown away with "that"voice, omg have all their music goodness just to have had the privilege of listening to them for all my life, yes thank you
As impressive as all following lineups were, this original line up was the band at its best. Best songs. Best riffs. Timeless music. Heart without Roger Fisher is like The Eagles without Don Felder. Fisher really knew what to play where to take each song to the next level. He was an integral part of making those early albums and songs what they were. That sound and musical personality that the band had is lost to time with no return, but the recordings stand and the new lineups have done the old songs justice. Will anyone pick up the torch? I hope so.
Yes, Heart should have been inducted years ago along with many other bands. The RRHF has to drag it out though to ensure they have a show every year in the future. Had they inducted all these classic groups back in the 90's, there'd be no one left worth watching.
Ann and Nancy are the epitome of amazing rock talent, across decades and genres. Best voices, best acoustic, best harmonies. Also, no one plays the electric part of this song as well as Roger Fisher.
Sure, Chris was reading a prompter, but I believe with al of my heart, he meant every word. Heart was such an amazing band. They carved the path for others, including Chris.
We'll never know how many more classic albums Heart could have cranked out with the original lineup, but Dreamboat Annie, Magazine, Little Queen, and Dog and Butterfly will forever be timeless works of art.
RIP Chris Cornell 1:52 and Tom Petty 16:48, both present to honor this fantastic group Heart. I've met the Wilson sisters, they played a fantastic show and Ann brought her daughter, a fairly rockin girl herself. Good people and great musicians. Crazy On You is one of the best rock songs out there and they rocked it on this stage, great to watch.
Ann Wilson is unbelievable- the only true competition , maybe Janis, and Nancy plays so hard and perfect, and the whole Band is perfect. I think they are the most underated superstars in the business. So very unique and talented.
Their talent staggers me; no one sings it like Ann, and Nancy plays that guitar like it’s a part of her. God blessed them with incredible talent, and they in turn blessed us by sharing it with us. Thank you ladies, for giving us your music. ♥️
After 40 years. Yes it's been that long. I still love the symphony that is Heart. Their music brings me back to some of the defining moments of my life. Thank you to the entire Band. You guys made my Hall of Fame years ago
Heart was my fav band " back in the day". Lucky to see them twice in concert. To me the original group will always be the best lineup. Mike Derosier rocks!
