Definitely a downgrade from the original Patrick who almost died with his best friend in an attempt to clear Mr. Krabs name.

Fun Fact: Mr. Krabs, based on his green eyes, red shell, and eyelashes is based on a painted ghost crab, which explains why he’s so fast in this episode in particular.

You know, since the treasure map is based on the real map, and since they actually found it, and you just know krabs isnt the first pirate to try to find the dutchman's treasure, this means the reason nobody, not even the dutchman himself couldnt find it was because he mistook the 3 leafed seaweed for a 2 leafed seaweed

Fun fact: the voice of Mr. Krabs is Clancy Brown doing an impression of Robert Newton's performance of Long John Silver in the 1950 film Treasure Island. The stereotypical pirate accent origins from his role in that film with thousands of imitations over the decades, intentional or not.

For the LONGEST time, at the end of Rock Bottom I thought that Patrick saw SpongeBob at his house and realized he didn’t have to get on the bus after all and said what he said as in “I’ll be back in Bikini Bottom ASAP!”, come to realize he thought SpongeBob was still in Rock Bottom and went back for his pal, now that’s one of Patrick’s best friend moments🙏🙏🙏

Rock Bottom is my favorite Spongebob episode to this day, I think cause getting on the wrong bus and ending up in a dodgy part of town is plausible for anyone. They don't make shows as good as this was anymore.
