The Ross boys did it again. Taking a journey down memory lane, Rock Mishpacha created a set from Friday Night davening. Playing and singing golden oldies from a range of performers including (listed in order of songs) MBD, Abie Rottenberg, Miami Boys Choir, Traditional, Shlomo Carlbach, Diaspora and Avraham Fried.
With BZ on tenor sax, Baruch on drums, Avi on guitar, Mordechai on trumpet, Moshe on flute, Yehuda on alto sax, Batsheva on violin, and their Abba on bass (we all helped overdub the keys), they really put their heart and soul into this production. Their goal? To introduce kids around the world to the songs that their parents grew up with.
The thank you list. Avremi Gourari. Your amazing work arranging always makes your productions shine. Bunker Studios for their patience and beautiful setup. Aryeh Kunstler for being the master and bringing the sounds to life. Motti Engel for filming us on multiple occasions and putting it all together. Of course, thank you to Hashem for giving these kids the talent and enabling them to play.
The teachers. Peter Sparacino for teaching BZ, Moshe, and Huda. Scott Kulick for teaching Avi, Mordechai, and Yehuda (piano) and their Abba on Bass. Mark Zapata for teaching Baruch drums. Abby Brody for teaching Batsheva violin. These teachers are patient and wonderful, and we are so grateful to them.
A special thank you to all of you viewers. When you forward this link, you make the kids so happy - they love spreading music around. Please like, share, and subscribe and comment. If you have any requests, please comment and we’ll do our best.
