I'm a die hard Rockies fan and I still don't think Holliday touched the plate. But man this was a hell of a game!

Man, this game had it all! Lead changes, extra innings, controversy, a grand slam, entire seasons on the line, and wow, what a conclusion!

@@MontagnaMagica - Growing up in Colorado I have been a huge Rockies fan since I was 8 years old when the team first started. I was in California for my last year of college when this game happened and I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited while also experiencing the greatest anxiety in my life! Five minutes after Holliday made the slide and I went ecstatic, I was on my computer buying a plane ticket and a couple seats for the first home game of the NLDS, which was against Philly where we won 3-2 and swept the series. I couldn’t afford to go to any of the World Series games, and I’m glad I didn’t! That was so depressing, they had too much time off and lost their momentum. I still wish Cleveland wouldn’t have choked in the ALCS, because I think that would have been a much better series. I hate that 2007 Red Sox team.

@@piercehubbard4086 I agree with you! Rockies/Indians would have been much better. 2006 was the first season I really followed, so after 2007, understandably, I was hooked for life! I lived in Arizona, so my dad got us surprisingly cheap tickets to NLCS games 1 and 2.

I was there with my girlfriend at the time and her family. 8th row behind the Padres dugout. My girlfriend left in the 10th and I knew in that moment things were not meant to be for her and I.

We had similar seats on the Rockies side. The extra innings were exhausting, but it was no doubt the best game I've ever seen.

Ahhh 2007. Back when the league hit .265 and struck out 6 or 7 times a game and runs were actually scored thru non HRs. as opposed to .240 and striking out 8 or 9 times.

I am so sick of this being debated. Yes, he blocked the plate. Also, his foot moved all the way across the plate through the dirt as he dropped the ball and Holliday tagged it
