Rockin' the Gauntlet: Solomon Pond Mall (Marlborough, MA) 

@suzzex Yes, it is. Around here, it's easy to tell what department store is where. JCP is always next to the elevator, therefore, Sears is on the right, and Macy's on the left. Only difference is Pheasant Lane.

@suzzex If you've seen the Gauntlets of Pheasant Lane, Emerald Square, and ESPECIALLY Rockingham, they are the exaxt same mall, except a few visual, and custom changes made, to a pre-order floor plan. Pyramid Malls also uses the same archetect firm who came up with the exact same designs, and sat through a pitch to bring one of these to Leominster. The design was exactly the same as Rockingham. To make the mall "unique", you can change some parts, but all-in-all, it's the same building.

No, I have not. First trips are individual people-movers, since I'm not familiar with the layouts.

Cool Gauntlet, on the part with the stroller on the down Otis Escalator, they should put a rule that states, "People with strollers should use the Elevator, Not Escalators!" and be sure if you do the gauntlet in Downtown Worcester.

@otisman1000 I don't think any of the elevators are maintained there.

There used to be two more OTIS series 1's at this mall. One where Linens n Things was (glowgolf and shoe dept. encore now) and one that led down to thunder sports which you can see at 15:12.

@sthodson It's the new thing. It's slowly catching on (the Gauntlet Video).

@MegaZeldafan1 There's waaaaay to meny elevators in Worcester to do a Gauntlet, but I might do a good ol' fashioned 30-minute Elevator Derby. There was a sign there stating for bipeds only, I didn't think people can't read pictures, but I guess some can't.

Filenes elevator is identical to the Filenes elevator at SSP. Makes sense because both are from 1996.

The guy with the stroller at 5:53 should of used the elevator!

@georgef551 ah. it appears they use valor in most states but LI has allied barton and apparently so does SSP. if the patches have a "V" on it it's valor, otherwise they'd say allied barton

@giggleblaggle They can look nice. Change the railings here, mosaiac tile there, maybe different ceilings, and you got a "different" mall.

Forgive me but what is a "cookie-cutter" mall? Also, the Sears elevator is one of my favorites you have ever filmed.

There were too many people around to keep the camera up for the most part. Usually I don't have this issue. Did that time. This wasn't a mall tour, rather just riding the public people-movers in one shot. Dorky, but that's what it is. :)

@HipHopMixstaz 18 Gauntlets, ranging from just a couple elevators, to a short under 4 minute run in a single department store (only 2-story part of one mall), all the way up to a 1-hour, 20-minute run at the Natick Mall.

5:53 saw a similar incident in Nashua yesterday.

5:58 - 6:32 is where the language thing occurs, just warning anyone sensitive to language.

@otisman1000 They moved out of there? Still in buisness up here at Whitney Field. Then again, they have "School Hours", so they appear closed on an earlier mall visit.

@ih8thyssenkrupp I wouldn't know here, since I've never seen any security guards. Then again, when the kids are in school, the malls tend to not send them out of their office.

Did you ever film at Silver City Galleria, Tauntam, MA ?

@jimster586 The mall isn't that big, and when I could get a shot, someone was too close to the camera. Figures. :)

It's generally anything that is above PG rating, I usually don't accept. On rare moments, if someone makes a good point, I'll let it go, but usually the bad language comes with low IQ comments. I think I let some stronger words go only 3 times, ever.

The elevators are boring over here, nor that good. At least it was something to record.

@otisman1000 I went early (had 1/2 day at work). When the kids are in school, Security tends to stay in their hidey-hole.

I go there a lot it's a lot better than other malls. U didn't show much.. the food court, movie theatar, more stores seems like you just pointed the camera down the whole time.
