I just love watching before and Afters with these lovely ladies. They are all beautiful. When I was a little girl I loved going to my mom's solon. My favorite thing to do was stand at the sink and wash the perm rods and take all the papers off. Dry each rod and put them back in their color and size spot . I love this hairstyle! I used to do something very similar with my hair in high school. I didn’t use rods but brown paper bag twist set under a dryer. Had decent hair that I didn’t have to be texturized when I was younger. Don’t think I need a texture in my hair today. My texture of hair always seems so thin to me and like cotton. a lot of people don't understand natural hair, without heat or perm. I use to curl my hair with rods, I may start back, and yes tommorrow hair will look great.
Nice hairstyle. Back in the day (70s) I used sponge rollers to create an Afro. It was really nice. Because I very seldom applied heat to my hair, when I wanted to wear my hair long I stretched it by putting in cornrows and take them out after drying. Instead of a braid-out I guess it would be a cornroll-out, which I liked better because your roots stretched & blended better with the length.

Any natural haired woman knows you use a pic to create volume, not your damn hands. This is why I don’t go to stylists who still rock perms. They don’t know wtf they doing.
A combination of using a Pic & Hands is correct. *She actually used a Pic @**1:23:20** **_the problem is there was way too much hand action that disturbed the coils._* The style should've just been picked for volume and of course separate the Coils with the fingers and slightly tug the Top portion with the hands for lift, then left alone.

@@MsKaren-tb1lx I am not a disgrace and I am sure the ladies that shared my opinion isn't either. I've given this stylist many compliments but when someone don't deserve a compliment we're wrong. Last time I checked I live in the United States a country with free speech which means I can either agree or not agree with someone. This hairstyle was horrible and when you put yourself out there to the public you have to expect criticism and compliments which I give to this stylist. Sis if you love this hairstyle that's cool but myself and many others don't and that's cool too. Take some time and read up about free speech, corrective criticism and having thick skin when you put yourself out to the public. I've seen this style performed by other stylist and it turned out really nice but this style was horrible and I would not.have paid for this mess.

The silk presses are ok, the styles are meh. She does use a lot, a lot of heat when i think that's a no, no on your hair. Never uses any of her products, not sure how they work. I just started watching her so I dont know if she has repeat clients and I'm not sure on the follows. I'm still can't figure out what her niche is.
