I've seen a bunch of people online (myself included) paint up their Sideswipes into Armada Wheeljack. Armada Wheeljack was my 2nd Transformers toy ever (the first being Armada Demolisher) so to see the figure recreated here albeit in a different colorscheme is exciting(hopefully an Armada redeco is on the way). Surprised they molded the gash in the chest instead of making it a print though.
A Mini-Con not having a port is an affront on the entire idea of the Unicron Trilogy Mini-Cons/Microns, man! BTW, stupendous review, as is customary on this channel! 🤩👍
Bot con Used the color scheme cause In universe 2003. They were going to release Armada wheeljack as G2 Drench. He was supposed to be Drench. In one of those Battle in a box sets. Then Botcon used it later on. Like how the universe seacon colors got released as a exclusive.
The reason he has the new head is because in the SG Universe that head IS Sideswipe. In the original Botcon artwork and toy, they used the Wheeljack mode, 100%, so his head become SG Universe Sideswipe.
I really hope that some of those listings for legacy year three get changed to armada wheeljack, and if he was already in the listings then I could see them just re-releasing the shattered glass sideswipe with an armada themed paint job.
