Master It all depends on a persons state of mind ? For me if I won $25 million it would be a life changing event & certainly not a curse ? Here in Australia lotto wins pay no tax unlike in the USA or anywhere else that does ? I'd buy a nice house away from the hustle & bustle of the city overlooking the beach or ocean, nothing too fancy but above average comfortable up to $3 million. I'd buy 2 new cars, a luxury model, for me a fancy Maserati for special trips & a nice quality sedan like a Honda, Mazda. Toyota or whatever for around town trips etc. where risk of bumps & scrapes are likely. The bulk I would safely invest & the interest would be more than enough to live off. With a few million still in the bank I'd give money to family & friends to relieve their financial burden. A few deserving charities would be considered as well. I certainly wouldn't gamble or invest in high risk potential money making schemes that other scammers dream up. No need to if a person is getting $20 grand per week from safe invested money. I'd make my will & when I passed on my wife & children would be the main beneficiaries of the invested money. Long lost & unknown free loaders coming out of the woodwork would be given the flick in short & sharp order. Travel & holidays would be plenty, so life would be good. Now all I've got to do is buy the winning lotto ticket with odds of up to nearly 77 million to 1 (depending on the game type). In the meantime life goes on pretty much as it always has = basic living.

You are so right! I have been from the ghetto to the Penthouse and everywhere in between. We have been brainwashed with consumerism. The greatest joy one can have, is when you do something for someone else, with nothing expected in return.

DieselHeart BR218 I'd rather have the cash. Unemployment, foreclosure, homelessness - been there done that. Money don't buy happiness to be sure but it gives you freedom of choice.
