It was likely Serena's idea to give the up-and-coming young Tiafoe the opportunity to partner with her in that historical match. Sure, Sock is stronger doubles and more experienced and she may have won with him, but I think she was looking more up the road for Tiafoe's career. Just my guess.

Dimitry realistically people get better over time with coaches, trainers, etc. imagine how good Serena has to be in order to beat other women who had all those support groups.
