Great match. I remember sitting on the edge of my seat...and I was ticked off because I don't live 1 state away and couldn't get tickets unless I wanted to sell a kidney AND have a liver. LOL!
First of all, Isner is not the greatest server in tennis history, that would be Novak. Yes, Isner serves really hard, but that's about it. Novak has strength, precision, and variety that no one else can hope to match. Also, this video is more shameful than anything. It's more embarrassing and sad that Federer allowed himself to even get into that position against a crappy player like Isner in the first place. I wouldn't be celebrating this video at all if I were a Federer fan.
What are you smoking bro. Isner made top 10, won masters 1000 title, played several masters finals. Won the longest match in tennis history. Defeated, among others, Djokovic himself at Indian Wells 2012. The man is a legend. Djokovic the greatest server? Nonsense, he is greatest in many things, but not in serve.
@@miroslavjanecek9993 to be fair, 2012 was kind of a down year for Novak. I mean, even Federer beat him at Wimbledon that year. Look, Isner is fine, he's one of those mid tier players that would usually win a match or two at most of the tournaments he played, but he's far from a legend. He's a good server, but he has a weak forehand, weak backhand, weak movement, weak shot selection. He's basically a poor man's Ivo.
I was thinking along your lines but in a more respectful way. Yes, some of us are capable of it. Fed did put himself in this situation but he also dug himself out of it. All the greats have lapses in concentration against any player especially as they age. With that, I disagree about Novak. This video was a joy to watch, not at all shameful. And Isner at this tournament is one of the best, he comes alive and has beaten great players at Laver Cup. Best regards
Novak is the best of all time and a great server but he's not the greatest server. I put Sampras, Karlovic, Isner, Federer, Kyrgios and Roddick above him in that regard, perhaps als Raonic, Ivanisevic and others.
