Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal: The Story of Fedal | Tribute 

Hey guys! As this will most probably be Rogers last year on the tour, I wanted to make a video that captured their amazing journey to 20 Grand Slams. Even if someone ends up with 21 titles, this video will forever be about the time they both had won 20 Majors each. Maybe they will both win more, who knows with these two legends - and if so, I will make another video ;-) As always let me know what you think - You are a big part of my motivation!

This video *literally* brought tears to my eyes. As Roger announced his retirement, it's officially the end of my childhood/adolescence. People always say that the game is bigger than any individual but i find it unfathomable to think that I'll find tennis interesting now that Roger's gone. As someone who was lucky enough to follow him from 2004 Aussie Open, i can't help but feel extremely privileged to be a part of this journey. I don't think I can ever be as vested in any other player in any sport as I was with Roger. What's unique about his journey is how Rafa made him more humane. As a Federer fan, I used to loathe Rafa. I couldn't stand his style, his panache, and his flamboyance. But with everything else in life, time healed the wounds and since 2017, I've had nothing but love, respect, and admiration for Rafa. It helped that I started playing tennis since 2012 and realized how bloody difficult this sport is. I also felt naive about the petty bickering I used to indulge in as I realized the futility of the endeavour. There's no Roger without Rafa and vice versa. Add Djokovic to the mix and you get a golden age which has spoiled millions of tennis fans forever. Now, as Roger's hanging his boots, i suspect Rafa might follow him very soon, probably during next French Open. I feel as it Roger's departure has already started leaving a void in the life of millions of his fans. It's so ironical but it's Rafa who made Roger this loved across the world. Without the constant bruises and scars that Rafa delivered to Roger with vengeance, Roger would've not been forced to unveil his humane side. Without Roger setting the bar high, Rafa's drive might've died much earlier. It truly is unparalleled where the two biggest stars of a game are rivals and friends. It's sad but such is life that Roger, who over the course of his career became synonymous with Grace, Elegance , efficiency, and economy of movement was forced out due to an injury. Oh well, in times like these..I'm forced to recollect this saying - *Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened* 🥲🥲🥲

Rafa and Roger are Twin Flames..🤣 they were pushing each other to be the best version of themselves. They both grew together thru hardships, pain, traumas, setbacks, self-doubts, injuries, etc... and yet, it made them both legends and icons of the game..😁 In the end, it's not really important who's the one; they both did it together. 20 and 20.🍻👏🙌🧨

This wonderful video never gets old. Especially after Rafa just reached 21. He is so humble, disciplined, and endlessly courageous. These two men are simply kings.

No matter who is your idol- these tennis players are the best of all time rivalries! And once all of them retired... no one can ever repeat the history they made! There would be winners of course in the future but can’t copy the records of these three players Nadal Djokovic and Federer! Never ever!!!!

rafa-nole played more games than rafa-roger but the latter's rivalry is like no other. both became greats bec of their competition to each other. they brought out the best in each other through the years and played the most epic tennis battles in this era. 2008 Wimbledon was the most epic of all time! we're lucky to witness this rivalry and tennis won't be the same ever again when both finally retire from tennis. it would be heartbreaking to see this happen sometime very soon.

This was also the most emtional rivalry. I remember myself being in tears after roger lost Australian Open and could speak into the mic.

It is the early days of AO21. Nadal's lower back is giving him issues. When I was certain Rafa would win the Australian 2021; now I am not so certain and feeling down about it. I finally decided to watch this video and it gave me new life. We all know Rafa doesn't ever give up. If anyone can break through the wall, it is Mr. Rafael Nadal. Nadal Is My Champion! Incredible at ao 2009 Rafa was sorry for the result ! He knows the choice of the crowd supporting roger and he has respected that ! I love this player !

Their story and legacy is just so incredibly i was lucky enough to witness this Legacy. Nadal was just a Clay court player but he improved his game on Grass and Hardcourt just to beat Roger amazing and before Nadal arrived Roger never played a RG final he too improved his game on Clay to beat Rafa but failed to that so far. They both played with passion, Courage and hunger to win forced the other person to bring his game to another level just unbelievable. The king and prince of Tennis in true words....

The greatest rivals became the best friends who achieved the impossible thanks to each other. A beautifully told story, I will come back to it many times. The day when they both end their careers will make hundreds of thousands people, if not millions, shed tears of despair. Not only because of the sports level they represent, but also because of the off-court level. By the way. The video is over a year old and only 40,000 views? How it's possible? The quality of the 08 Wimbledon final was phenomenal. Roger didn’t lose he was defeated. In the French Rafa annihilated Roger 1 3 and 0 and he made only 7 unforced errors in 3 sets. Unreal ! So much joy for us tennis lovers. I consider myself very lucky to be alive while the 3 greatest players ever beat each other to a pulp. 40 Grand Slam titles. Really hard to comprehend that. And each oozing with class. Great job !
