Thanks so much for posting this. Was so sad to read of Roger's death. I thought he was wonderful, both as a man and an artist. I have three pieces by him, a cross, a rose, and a magnificent huge tree on my back. He designed them all after I chatted to him and they were perfect. I couldn't believe how "right" they were and how he managed to draw what I could only fumble out in words. RIP.
It's different and very interesting seeing the pe'a done by a non-Samoan let alone with a needle. A few of my family members had identical Samoan sleeves done by Roger a few years back, and hoping to have mine done by him also. I wonder how his shop is faring with the rise of Taupou Tatau.
