Not on this song but he absolutely lip syncs for half of that show. Multiple times at this Detroit show his mouth was not moving and sound was coming out.
The one thing this video doesn’t capture is the surround sound. It was freaking amazing. I’ve been to over 2000 concerts in my lifetime and never heard anything quite like it. Roger is so ahead of the times that he’s still pioneering new technology for concerts. Not too shabby for a guy that’s 79 years old!
Keep talking tour around 1993 extensively used this. I saw this concert in the Super Dome in New Orleans, they were spinning the sound around the dome at hundreds of times a minute, was dizzying and disorienting in a cool way and at the end of the show the surround sound was spinning in sync with the giant disco mirror ball and all the lasers. Its not new. And if you are 40 years old you would have to go to a concert EVERY week for your entire life to see 2000 shows. You should brag about being a DJ, Record Exec., Promoter or Security at an Arena to sound more credible...
No kidding! I saw this at PNC Arena in Raleigh and it freaked me out at first because it sounded so much better than every other concert I had seen there.
By far THE Best concert I've seen this year (Montreal) and in my top five over the past decade! What was best for me, I saw it with my son who is crazy about Pink Floyd and boy it was amazing!! Thanks for posting 🙂
Saw this last month at Rogers arena Vancouver, one of the coolest concerts I've ever seen, already was a massive Pink Floyd fan before seeing it so it just hit so different
I think this sounds so much better than what latter day Pink Floyd ended up sounding like. This still has some edge and energy to it. The other guys in Floyd, fantastic musicians as they are, could just appear to be going through the motions, a bit safe. Obviously Roger has surrounded himself with the right people to project his vision of how this stuff should sound. And to my ears, it sounds fantastic. I actually met Dave Kilminster a couple of times. Once when we were both in the audience of a small Yngwie Malmsteen show, and again at a show where he was the guitar player in Qango, alongside John Wetton, Carl Palmer and John Young. What a band that was. Dave came across as a lovely guy, and I'm really glad to see him have the successful career he richly deserves.
Haiii... I n my 4 friends plan to go to Roger Water Concert on Bologna 21 April next year.. my question is what is the best location to see ? Among us, we have different opinion : some say standing around stage ( close to the RW, band Player) , some say sit behind (because more able to see giant sceeen better).. thank you...
This recording is from somebody's phone !!!!! When people leave the theatre they'll have had a great experience as they will after many of the tribute acts. But I agree Gilmour and Wright added the soul to the music and nothing can replace them.
@@pinkfloydmeddle6692 Exactly. And who played the sax in various tracks? Any claim that the four of them produced their discography on their own is ludicrous. Few admire Pink Floyd more than I, but let's at least try and keep it in the real world, eh?
I’m a big Floyd fan but i wouldn’t be going to see him. He’s on the wrong side of Ukraine. Thinks Russia’s war crimes are lies, believes Russia has some justification for the ‘special military operation’ and that Ukraine should simply give up its land that’s been invaded in order to end the war. Your time has been Roger.
They forgot to ask you. What does this have to do with your Pink Floyd? It's Roger Waters. And he plays his own music, which he composed and how he wants.
@@lllovegunlll7907 : It was not ONLY Waters that wrote mostly all Pink Floyd songs, Gilmour and Right were also part of it. Anyway it was a common effort of musical creativity and talent of all of them, now the fact that he was the opinionated bully in the band doesn't really mean that he deserves all the credit or owns the rights . He can keep his journey around the World playing all he wants, but he by himself won't make the same music.
I have to say... Roger Your Fucked up, lighting, the rest of it is good.. but Farewell in this manner I feel not correct. New young Audiences doesn't represent your quality and ability as a Legend Of the music we have experienced throughout the 70's. Bad political show which could of been a one in a lifetime opportunity for the young.
