Big big apology for the quality of this video 😥 unfortunately not long into watching my cameras autofocus went 👎 and stayed like that until near the end and I didn't see it. I had a mini meltdown while editing and contemplated not uploading at all. Filming again wasn't an option as there wouldn't be a genuine first time watching reaction. My Bad! And fingers crossed it doesn't happen again. I really hope you don't mind too much and still love the video as much as I loved making it! 😁

This is my favorite film from the entire series (and I grew up in the time of the OT). It makes everything that comes after better. Shows the brutality of war (better than any film in the series) and the shades of grey that even the good guys are. The music, amazing cinematography and the "old school" look that manages to fit with the OT despite having decades of advancements in visuals.

@andymiller6661 2 года назад
@@mysticsaxophone4181 They're all to aware in writing and pacing that we know generally how the movie ends. But instead of dealing with the forgone conclusion that they will steal and deliver the plans no matter what by slowing down and developing the characters, they're violently propelled from action to action with no real actual or natural progression in relationships. Jyn goes from yelling at Cassian to quoting him passionately and Cassian goes from cold blooded killer to organizing a suicide squad for her because he chose not to kill the one person he was specifically ordered to kill, which was her father. And he had good reasons for not killing him, I'm sure Bor gullet was used, despite him making people go crazy, to learn the truth. Yet nothing comes of that truth gathering scene. When the X-Wings attacked Jyn's fathers position, we're told that they can't be called off because they're already committed. Nonsense. No shots were fired yet, and there's apparently instantaneous two way interstellar communications in Star Wars and with that squadron, so there's plenty of time to call them off. Even if there wasn't, there's nothing to prevent one of the X-Wings from hovering over the pad for a few seconds and sweeping the pad clear of enemies while his squad mates covered him. The end battle scenes went from "Cool visuals, I guess," to, "Seriously?" The inclusion of Red and Gold Leaders, obviously limited to what they could cull from cut angles meaning the almost the same exact lines from A New Hope was jarring. Then there's the out of place Mos Eisley jerks somehow being on Jedha, being jerks on Jedha because they have to cram some random cameo in the movie, just for them to leave Jedha immediately after being jerks and going straight to Tattoine, without freaking out over almost being killed by the Death Star. Pretty much everyone died in an explosion immediately after serving their one purpose in the movie, which was to flip a switch. And some of those switches were outside and exposed to the elements for no reason. And the antenna was out of alignment for no reason, and somehow transmitted to everyone yet just the rebel flagship, which had Leia's ship in it for some reason. And let's not forget that C-3PO and R2-D2 were in the Yavin hangar when everyone left yet on Leia's ship when it got boarded not much longer later. Also, the battle scenes was ridiculous. The rebels had the element of surprise, yet they didn't immediately start shooting everything on sight upon exiting lightspeed. There was no general plan and at most minimal coordination. Orders were given sporadically, instead of rapid fire. There was no shooting between the capital ships and minimal firing from the capital ships. There was no bombing or bombardment of the Imperial structure surrounding the shield opening. There were no squadrons of fighters firing volleys of torpedoes, just random fighters almost casually flying about and shooting at the occasional target. There were a total of 3 star destroyers in orbit around Scarif and yet not one deployed any troops to reinforce the surface. Instead, they just let the surface fend for itself and eventually Tarkin destroyed the Empire's own base, despite only some rebels being on the surface and despite the rebels already getting the plans. And fuck the rest of the data stored there, right? That's not important anymore for some reason. Vader's scene at the end was supposed to be orgasmicilly amazing, yet it's a let down. He dramatically took his time and turned off his life support and almost casually walked down the hall killing fools, instead of being mister badass sith and using the Force to brush everyone to the side and at least trying to Force grab the plans or using the Force to at least try stopping Leia's ship. Then he's standing in the vacuum of space like his suit is rated for that.

Brilliantly done. The other 2 on my top 3 is Terminator 2 and Aliens. Not a bad group if you ask me, all done 20+ years ago lol The second on my list is this movie then Episode 3. The sequels were a mistake, its like a turd in a bed, you dont want to see it but you cant forget that its there. The only new stuff in those movies are the various new ways they come up with on how to assasinate beloved legacy characters. Absolutely disgusting.

Rogue One is the best of all the Disney made Star Wars movies. It's totally seamless with the production design of episodes IV, V, VI. Watch Star Wars Scene 38 Reimagined by FixItInPost. It's the Obi-Wan Vader fight from Star Wars (1977) reimagined... it's epic.

I totally agree that Rogue One is the best of all the Disney made Star Wars movies, but it still doesn't make it a good one in my opinion. It suffers from the same lack of originality as most of the prequels because it's just describing how a thing we know has happened did happen, done by people who against all odds makes it to the right place in the right time to push a button or pull a lever, just to be blown up after that. It almost felt like they didn't want any essential characters involved in this to survive, so it wouldn't complicate further productions.
@donkfail1
@donkfail1 2 года назад
And speaking of the reimagined Scene 38; imagine how epic it would be if Disney remade ep. IV-VI. Wouldn't that be fantastic? They could make all the characters CGI and it would be so good! What I really Love is the fact you have not realized the Admiral who turned and talked was the Admiral in "A New Hope" who was the Admiral on the Death Star. Also when Jinn is in with the Admiral leaders she is in "A New Hope" as the leader of the Rebels and in A New Hope she says many died to get the plans to them. Also when the fighters appear you will notice some of the pilots in the X-wing fighters look familiar, this is because they went and acutally found unused film from the original battle footage from the attack on the Death Star.

Many of the characters in this movie appear in Star Wars including the two characters who attacked Luke in the cantina. The female rebel leader was at Padme's funeral and spoke at the briefing in Return of the Jedi.

14:43, Anakin Skywalker despite his whining was a good dude. He just took a bad path in life. But in the end we know the love of his son brings him back to himself. Despite all he did in his life of service to the Emperor, he is up in Jedi heaven with his kids and mentors. So yeah you aren't the only one that loves this guy. Also that closing hallway seen was soooo sick. He is the bad guy but you can't stop kinda rooting for him still.

That was Grand Moffat Tarkin, the officer who ordered Darth Vader to stop force choking his subordinates. He's being played by Guy Henry, (Henrik Hanssen of Holby City/Casualty). They've rendered a digital mask of the original original actor, Peter Cushing onto his face. Ball chin bloke & his friend go to the Mos Eisley "wretched hive of villainy" bar on Tatooine, tell Luke "I don't like you!" & eventually get cut down by Obi-Wan's lightsaber.

This is by far the best Star Wars movie Disney put out. I even liked Solo. I think people dislike Solo because it came out too close to the tragic “Last Jedi “ but this movie was very satisfying and the Vader scene at the end was a much needed tribute to that character.

Great reaction!!! I don’t remember when I realized we don’t see these people after this. You get this sinking feeling in your gut. They reused footage of Red Leader and Gold Leader from A new Hope and did a rather poor job on Tarkin who was in charge of the Death Star from A New Hope. Thank you for watching with us. I dove into the Disney multi-media marketing scheme head first and read the prequel book Catalyst in anticipation of the movie release. The Eyrso back story is the theme of that book and gives the viewer the requisite information to understand the opening tension and how much of a baddie Crenic is.

Chirrut Imwe (the blind monk) is not a Jedi, but a "Force Wielder". There are many force wielders throughout the galaxy who do not become Jedi but are still strong with the Force. I suggest watching the animate series "Clone Wars" and "Rebels" next (it'll be a long trip!) Clone Wars happen roughly between Star Wars ep2 & ep3. Rebels takes place between Rogue One and New Hope. Then you can move on to The Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and the upcoming Obi Wan Kenobi series. Enjoy the journey!

I am so glad you like Rouge One Dawn Marie ☺️ I saw it at midnight the day of release in the cinema and it’s was amazing. Has one of the best space battle sequences since the originals and out of all the new StarWars films since Disney took over, this is best in my opinion. Dawn, there was a 2 part 2 hour long cartoon series on Cartoon Network in 2003 in between Episode 2 and 3 called Star Wars the Clone Wars 2003. it told the story of the clone wars and connected the two movies, both parts are on Disney plus and on dvd, they used to be on youtube, but one of the parts was taken down, some one has all of it in 25 ,, 3 minute videos in a playlist

I really love this movie ... especially that ending! Wish they'd do more of these "Star wars stories". They should be lots of possibilities of creating these kinds of extra adventures outside of the three trilogies.
@thejamppa
@thejamppa 2 года назад
Yes, I agree. That would just require people who understand not just the story but the fandom have more saying than people who did last Trilogy. I mean it wasn't bad but it wasn't treu Star Wars. Biggest problem was final part. You can clearly feel the tone shift from last minute changes. All the build up and... the lame end. More studio intervenes, more Star Wars will fail. Case: Solo.
@jansenart0
@jansenart0 2 года назад
There are some lesser-known titles you should only watch out of morbid curiosity. Like, the Christmas Special (which, as awful as it was, is actually canon as of The Mandalorian episode 1 ("Life Day" reference)). CGI just-lost-his-hand Luke in another title somehow looks more human than Mark Hamill in that video though. Just as bad are The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. The other Rogue One-like film is Solo, which also had serious production issues but didn't turn out as good. Otherwise, you have Clone Wars in three forms, the cartoon from Gennady Tarkovsky and the CGI version, which also had a movie. Then there's the CGI Bad Batch. You can't miss out on The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett though!

So glad you liked it. I have some fave movie commentators who have around 99% similar taste to me, and seeing them throw Rogue One under a bus was strange to me. What they did not like was the characters, saying they were unlikable and had no development. For me Cassian was incredibly interesting as were some of the Rebel leadership as it showed them operating in grey areas of assassination and outright murder. K2 was my fave too, and the Jedi and his buddy were both very likeable as was the pilot (you should watch brilliant British comedy Four Lions for more Riz Ahmed). What I loved most is that Gareth Evans got Star Wars. You can tell he is a fan playing in the galaxy's greatest toy box. And all the scenes with Vader were simply breath-taking.
