A short example of creating an n/zyme sound from scratch on the Roland Fantom and then adding a couple of other engines in there too. Endless creative possibilities! No post-processing involved. All FX courtesy of Fantom. Fantom was plugged into Roland MX-1, then into the Roland GO MIXER pro-x.
n/zyme can be purchased through the Roland Cloud Manager and requires OS v3.0 (free from Roland).

I have a unique synth - Vector Synth - that has the circulating dot of sound that you never saw before. It's from the Czech Republic & Red Means Recording has a RU-vid video that is worth Czeching out from minute 39 onward if you can't watch the whole video. At times it looks like an image of the Atom with a circulating Electron. I immediately pegged n/zyme as duplicating that feature. I had subscibed to your channel before I saw your most informative latest video, but how do I join your patch club as such? Thanks for sharing...Otto von Ruggins

Interesting question! Well, we still don't know the full detail of what this new Montage may have, but knowing how important the Fantom is to Roland, then I am confident that whenever the next update lands, it will be worth the wait!

Question: When having all what Roland has to offer, is it really worth to pay another $150 to have this addition? Please explain why. Thanks in advance!

Simply put, the character of sounds from the n/zyme is unlike that of any of the other sound engines on the Fantom. Whether you think it is work $150 depends on how much you value those sounds, and how much you value the rather nice user interface that Roland have developed for the n/zyme.

@@bunwi, I agree, but the interface has no value to me. Only the result of the sound that comes out of it. And Fantom already has tons of alike sounds built in. Kind of difficult choice for me..

It all depends if you want to make Roland sounds that are your own. The Scenes alone have some inspiring start points & this video showed how you can make beautiful MOVING sounds with not much effort, but it takes a mental approach of wanting what you created, not just what everyone else has. I don't buy your assessment that the Fantom has sounds like these already, so if that's what you believe, suit yourself - $150 shouldn't break the bank - if you have funds, go for it - but only if you are willing to make it your own!

Hi Mark - Patchland is a Facebook group (link in description) which is for sharing ZEN-Core sounds. Also it will share n/zyme sounds too over time as more Fantom owners get hold of the new engine.

Wavetables must have 16 steps as the korg wavestation. 4 is very poor..
