2 years ago, in November I made the You Tube-video "Roland MC-303 Groovebox"(check it out ! ), where I only demonstrated the sounds of some patterns of this nice device.Some months ago I found back my notes from 2 years ago where I noted down how to program a nice pattern.So I am very happy that I can show you now how you must do it.

I printed out the 130 pages or whatever the owners manual is. I'm happy to learn how to record the pieces and make it all work wonderfully! What a great first video to get my feet wet. Thanks Jason!

Thanks very much Jason. I got my Groovebox 303 yesterday and just done my first pattern. I hate manuals, so thanks ever so much for your video. I need to learn how to trigger the sound module with a midi keyboard next....then record some bass lines...will start looking vids for these but if anyone has any recommended links, it would be great to tsee them.

I put my Blofeld through the MC-303 so I can arp /sequence it. I struggle with most of the original sounds, they're ok, but, dated. I love the drum machine. My MC-101 have overtaken the 303, but I wish some features would have been kept, like the rest period after recording a measure(s) for example.

aah, nog een vlaming die gebeten is door de 'gear bug' zie ik jajajaaa :) ik ben sterk aan het twijfelen om deze te kopen maar zoals ge zegt, voor die prijs is het een goed bakje denk ek. OF misschien de 505... in ieder geval nog een 90's box om m'n Quasimidi 309 wat companie te geven :) Misschien zal deze video nog van pas komen! Merciiii!

If I set the R to a 1 bar 909 loop sequence , does it also mean that all the rest of the rhythm section 1, 2 , 3 etc using for example a bass does it also have be 1 bar loop or can I go for 4-8 bars without any problems ?

I think it must be possible to set the rhythm to 1 barloop and make the other loops longer.

Bonjour Jason ! Est il possible de nous expliquer comment doit-t'on faire pour effacer un patterne dans lequel on a commencé mais que l'on s'est trompé ! Par la même occasion une explication si l'on peut exploiter la percutions avec 2 types de percutions différente dans un seul patterne, D'avance merci pour le grand travail que tu faits. C'est d'une grand aide !!! Amicalement un nouveau subscrite!

Bonjour, merci pour votre bon commentaire! Merci pour ta suscription sur mon canal! Pour effacer un pattern, regarde ce que j'ai répondu à Jay Carroll.Donc presse SHIFT + FUNC et presse le clavierkey numéro 4.Avec les boutons BWD et FWD vous pouvez rechercher le numéro du pattern.Après quand tu as selectionné le pattern tu presse 2 fois sur le bouton "enter".Et votre pattern est effacé(initialisé). Selon ma connaisance tu peux travailler uniquement avec une des 12 "rhythm sets" que le MC303 vous offre au même moment. Comme exemple: un bassdrum du 909 et un snare du 808 est donc pas possible au même moment.Greetz .

Para aquellos de habla castellana y que busquen el manual de la Roland MC-303 en castellano y con los gráficos ya que la versión para latino América nunca salió con los gráficos explicativos, cosa que si traía el manual en Ingles y en Alemán. Hold SHIFT-button + FUNC-button pressed down and press key number 4.Than you can choose with the BWD- and FWD-knobs the pattern that you want to delete.And push than 2 times the "enter"-button.

Het updaten van de mc-303 is mij niet gekend. Ga naar de site van Roland Benelux waar je een mail kan zenden of op synthforums.Daar zal men jou kunnen voorthelpen.
