When I purchased it used, it had a few faults on it and a couple of broken keys, but no scratches or dings. Being a Roland engineer, I was able to restore it to new like condition.
Hi mate, lovely to actually see a roland engenieer talking about a classic! Thinking to pick one up thats for sale for about 130GBP, but i already have a s760 that i havent gotten to work yet due to the floppy not working and me having no clue how to install a zuluscsi or usb or wjatever i keed to get it to work 😅 perhaps you can guide me? Cheers
Bought mine in about 85 or 86, and it's still a great midi controller as well as some really useful sounds. I just picked up a cheaper 49 key board, just to save space, and YUCHH, those keys just sucked. The S-50 keys still feel fantastic...perhaps I'm just, after all this time, really used to the feel....but it kicked the #%@$ out of the new, cheaper stuff. S-50 guys still rule.
