Here is a quick clip of my black album kit I made on my Roland TD-30. It is available for download at vdrums.com. Click the link below: www.vdrums.com/forum/performan...
Well, I just recently sold my TD-20 module, but when I have both modules I hooked the headphone jack on the TD-20 to the mix-in jack on the TD-30. Then I run my headphones and my line out to my amp from the TD-30. I can control the volume of the TD-20 with both the TD-20 and the TD-30's mix in volume. Lots of control this way.
Some of my inputs on the TD-30 are split so I can connect 2 pads to one input. For most kits I don't need to use all my pads, but for others I need them all. I have a second module to control the (4) PD-85's and a couple cymbals.
What did you use to split the TD-30 inputs? I bought some standard TRS (stereo) male to two female mono (red/yellow) and it never works in any of my Aux 1, 3 or 4. For some reason, I got it working in Aux 2. Please explain!
Standard TRS splitters wont work. I'm very surprised one is even working for you. Anyway, I have specially designed splitters with resistors built in to them to separate the two signals and confuse the module in to thinking the two pads are actually one. They work pretty well when you get the trigger settings set up, but I occasionally get a mis-hit and both pads trigger the same sound. It doesn't happen often, but you can see/hear it happen on a couple of my videos.
Hi Tommy, great sound on that kit, Ive clicked the links to try and download that sound you have but im not very successful, any direct links I could if possible? Really appreciate it as my band are covering 'whiskey in the Jar' Metallica version.
Hey I asume you play with a TD 30 Module. Does it have these much inputs or did you have to figure out something for yourself? Because I got a 11 KV and it bugs me that I cant plug in more than one extra pad.
