You lose most money by leaving your watches at home unattended while away on a free 3 week holiday.

Boredom is definitely a factor , and now fear . Fear that these watches will be even more unobtainable years from now ! We stockpile !

You lose money when you put all your watches in a home safe and expect the safe to keep your valuables protected for 3 weeks. Safes buy you time but not that much time.

Love my seamaster but if I get bored of a watch all I do is change the strap out or bracelet out and it’s new again

I share the affliction(s) and I’m only 2.5 years into this lunacy. The remedy to boredom is the sock drawer - absence makes the heart grow fonder. I don’t think there is a cure for OCD when it comes to watches, just like every other hobby I’ve ever had. Great video!

That's a great everyday watch. I recently bought a used GS SBGX339 which works great for regular use. Leave it in the draw a few days and it's strill running and 100% accurate!

I buy almost all my watches from ADs (and ALL of my pricier watches) and my watches are insured.

This is one of the most entertaining, touching and funny videos of Yours. I enjoyed ist a lot cause there is so mutch truth in it. Those thin hands always pushed me off and they still do. I prefer my 42 mm Railmaster wich I load with light to be prepared for my nightly visit to the place where men of a certain age go at night.😄

I’m in the 30-40 year old demo and I completely agree. I’ve kept nearly every watch I’ve owned included the cheap quartz watches I wore until my late 20’s when I moved into mechanical watches. They don’t take up that much space and aren’t worth selling. I’ve only gotten rid of two watches. The first being an impulse buy from massdrop that I never enjoyed, wore maybe twice and gave to a friend. The second being a Tudor I bought because I wasn’t able to get the Rolex variant but traded it in 3 years later when my AD called. I don’t miss either because I bought those for the wrong reasons and got bored with them.

My biggest mistake was not buying the submariner hulk when it was selling at retail back in 2017. I got the submariner 114060 instead. Hindsight is always 20-20 they say.

Ya, that's a great watch, but for me the fatal flaw is the length of the minute hand. It's too short. It should reach further toward the minute marks.

With Seiko or with any other brand don't buy the hype. The SKX is history. Lots of better current models available for less. or you could buy the still available Citizen "Lefty"(introduced one year after) for under $200. Keeping the Seamaster was a good decision. In general if you're going to trade be careful what you pay. Getting out is less painful.

Rolex announced they are now selling used certified watches in Europe, soon in the USA and are building a second plant to produce a significant amount more watches. That will definitely cause Rolex watches to go down in value in the used and gray market. Personally I’m bored with Rolex, had 5 down to 3, I think Rolex’s moment might be over sooner then later.

I am a 50 year old man/ boy 😂 I have wanted a Rolex GMT since my days of a kid watching magnum pi. I was 7-8 months from turning 50 and tried to walk into the AD and was basically laughed at when I asked for one. I had a few months left and no knowledge of Frankenstein watches and wouldn’t know if it was fake because I never owned one. My Dad has wore a Submariner as long as I can remember probably early 70’s model no date. I bought a Submariner from Federico and Delray Watch Co. I pray one day I can save up enough to buy an all original 1675 Pepsi but I paid 10.8 for my Sub so my goal is to own 2 the GMT and the Sub I own by 60.🙏🫡
