That champagne dial literally matches with any color of clothing . Truly versatile . Do you think this watch is more versatile than the two tone blue sub ?

Full Rolex DNA and recognisable as such from across a room, both positives and negatives to that factor. As it’s not in style it’s not out of style and sits outside the current trends in a league of its own. Looks great poking out of a suit cuff. Dressy and smart. The perfect change up from the ubiquitous steel and black sports watch. The stock in trade of Rolex and the bread and butter of their ADs. With so much hype over Rolex sports models it goes unsaid that these are the watches that built the Rolex empire. Maybe every true watch enthusiast needs to experience a Datejust.

Timeless, elegant, classy and beautiful watch. I owned one in black, awesome all around watch.

The deployant clasp works as a counterbalance weight aswell to give it better balance on the wrist.

Great video. I just bought a steel/gold DJ41 with white dial, smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. It is an absolutely spectacular watch with a state-of-the-art movement, gorgeous looks and complete versatility. In the $10-15k range it’s one of the very best watches available today and I’m thrilled to own it.

It's a real shame that they decided to replace the "old style" bracelet close system. :(

I am normally not a fan of the two-tone watch,but this is gorgeous! But I am one that would prefer the hidden clasp over the oyster style deployant.

Is it me or does this new 2016 model Datejust have a smaller magnification? My dad's datejust has a date that just pops out larger than this new one.

I like de hidden clasp of the Super Jubilee too and I don't understand why they made this decision. I guess this is more of a iconic retro design.

This time piece definitely speaks to the Rolex brand. The two tone color pay with the jubilee tapered bracelet. I’m a bit young but I love me a good pair of penny loafers. That being said the updated clamp is a with this piece puts a modern spin on a classic watch.

I do not think it scaled that well as others have said the 39 mm would have been a better size. I am not really a fan of Rolex generally but I like this watch a lot.

I dont like the new clasp. It seems to me that rolex decided to use a little less gold on this bracelet or i cant find another reason to use it while the other was more suitable for a classic dress watch. And they still use the hidden clasp in daydate 2016 so that reveals they consider it more classy so its sad they wanted to avoid using some extra gold on datejust. Didnt expect this from rolex.

The fluted bezel is a must have on this watch. It makes the watch pop!

Man, I can't believe I paid $1,800.00 USD for my datejust. Of course it was 1984. Never been cleaned and still keeps perfect time. We bought my wifes Ladies datejust with a blue face and crystal bezel at Bucherer in Switzerland for a mere $1,100.00

Rolex Datejust 41 gold is a perfect watch for the price. My opinion.

Holy cow, that price! I bought my 36 mm two tone DJ in 1987 for somewhere around $3000 new at the A.D. I get that this is a much larger watch but wow.

Appreciate if you can let us know what's your wrist size? I tried it on at an AD, it doesn't wear big like a 41mm. I compared it with my GMT IIc and almost identical in size.

no one is mentioning the most important question: how does it keep time (sec per day-week-month)? Is it Anti-Magnetic to some extent ?

It's amazing how popular this watch color combination is. The gold hands against the champagne "gold" dial can make it difficult to read, especially at night.

gorgeous..but the way the 36mm wraps the wrist is impeccable. *although each person is different* Why did they put that clasp on a jubilee though. Looks very odd...the jubilee should be fluent/same all the way around IMO

Sorry to rain on your parade but the datejust 41mm looks best in steel. The reason why i say this is because the steel 41mm is very understated and more sporty looking then the tt.

I feel like the 41 with a smooth bezel looks good not so much with the fluted bezel might buy it instead of a submariner for my full steel more sporty casual t shirt and shorts watch...however the 36 will always be the most perfect iconic do it all piece

Only the champagne dial looks like a grand fathers watch. Other dials look more modern
