Hooklift way to go faster way easier to pull on . You can do pull on dumpsters from different angles if there's cars in the way. Just better system overall in my opinion.
@@neverstoppulling5169 it's like saying all war is done by tanks...screw guns..... majority of uses is smaller than the biggest uses.... and for those, hooklifts seem like a better solution
@@Ryan_0708I worked on those trucks. Most of the ones I’ve seen the end of the cable goes over the top of the cab and through the windshield. We have one rip the hook off the can and send it through the back of the cab and lodge in the dash. We have no idea how the driver managed to do it.
hello, I work in a Roll on truck, here in Brazil, at the company Ambipar, and I have the set for Julieta, it is excellent equipment for work and maintenance
but if that is truly how long it takes to take a flatbed off that cable hoist system that's not the drivers fault that's the bodies and winches fault. Amrep roll offs will kick off a container and put a new container on in like 45 seconds to 1 minute. Amreps waste no time and are extremely quick!
@@FutureGPTranscoDriver but not quicker then a hook. The hook guy was slow as he'll as well. I can drop an empty in the street get the full can at the site put it in the street back up and get the empty put it on the site and go back out and get the full one without leaving the truck. The only reason I do is to make sure the gate is secure. It's no comparison. Not to mention the safty. Not having the cables to deal with is huge. Pulling a pup trailer forget about it a roll-off can't compete
The hook lift is nice and has advantages but when your having to turn 30plus cans back to back with 5on a site 6miles to dump I can do 4-7more cans a day with a cable truck then a hook truck. If a tight street cars in the way I drop at an angle push it in. Getting it out I run cable through frame pull it out a bit hook and go. If your not great at it hook truck all day but if your good at what you do and the more cans you turn the more money you make cable truck all day. That's just my opinion as we all have one.
Yeah you can there are roller wheels on the back of the container, extend the sliding arm out first though if your gonna turn whilst pushing the bin back or you'll risk breaking the rear lights and possibly damaging the back of the truck. The same goes for if your picking the bin up at an angle, extend the hook arm out to connect up to the bin then square yourself up before lifting or the front of the bin can catch the back of the truck causing damage.
Hell yea. First of all the cable guy has his straps on before the comp even begins. What the hook guy dont have straps? I think he does. Its the law. Second the cable guy is moving like he has 1 leg. And if these were loaded cans guess what people. The hook guy would have to get out and check that the can door is locked and secure just like the cable guy has to. Its not like he can just pull up hook and go. Put me up against him any day and I promise you what u see in this video wont ring true. Peace
What a slow Hooklift was in use? Hooklift Systems here in Europe are very faster. Look for: Meiller RS 21. Worlds fastest Hooklift. Greets from Germany.
I saw on yt a box turned over cable lift. Someone loaded a bunch of tile and sheet rock on one side. I wonder if he had a hook lift if that would have happened cause the hook catches at the top.
@@571N I have no idea what a FAST flow valve is,,, In my opinion the hook lift is way faster than the roll & safer too, The fact that u don't have to get out of the truck & can load/unload, hook&unhook from inside tje truck(cab) is Super advantage, especially if its raining, snowing, etc,,, Also u CANT in load a roll on a step hill
The hook truck probably had a tab and channel system on the truck. I run a hook lift and there is a piece of flat stock welded to thr rail on both sides of the dumpster and a C channel on both sides of my truck just in front of the rollers
Genuinely curious on what I have a dump trailer just because I want to start getting into this business and in the near future I would like a hook lift or roll off from what I’ve seen I see more benefits from a hooklift
@@puropresidential If you are hauling light stuff hooks are great... but if you're hauling cans full of scrap metal, concrete , etc cable is much better
O be honest with a skilled driver roll off is faster. This guy here was slow and not that good. I like the hook lift better but its slower when needing to turn cans quick
