Difficult as Davinci can make things that should be simple, like a simple scroll text, difficult. To be able to make a text repeat, I had to duplicate the text several times to create the repetition effect, when it should already be something almost native to Davinci.
Thanks a Million!!! So far noone has explained it better as far as I am concerned! BUT - I can't get it to work right! The keyframes do weird things thjat are obviously beyond the grasp of my logic... The titles come in too early or too late and it all doesn't correspond to where the keyframes are positioned. They seem to do what they like... turning on at off at will and not corresponding with the beginning of the title clip...

The exact problem is hard to explain, I'd have to show it as I'm doing it... In any case: I don't understand how exactly key-frames work. The results I get ar kind of accidental and not precise...
Great video, works great, but does the horizontal scrolling text need to scroll at the same speed or higher framerate as the timeline frame rate settings? I see some slight jitter in a lot of YT scrolling solutions, not just these ones.
I noticed that too, but it's up to you how fast or slow you want to scroll the text, there are settings in the template you can use to adjust the speed.
There's a bug that I can't seem to get past when creating a two-column spread. When I adjust the size of the left column, it adjusts the size of both the header and normal text. When I adjust the right column, it adjusts by itself.

Thank you, with keyframes, i find the scrolling to be too smooth compared to when i layer it on top of 24fps footage. Is there a way to decrease the smoothness? I want to keep the same duration of the clip

With the Essential Scroll Text, would it be possible to add a border directly to the text? I'd like a scrolling text over an image that is far from being monochromatic, and without a border there is no way to make it properly readable...
The Text Shading tabs are not exposed as the macro parameter, you can not do it in edit page, but you can open the scroll text template in the fusion page, and select the text node and add the outlines however you want.
Hello, Thank you for providing clear instructions on how to create different end credits. I downloaded your template and successfully created a two-column rolling credit. However, I encountered two problems. When I added the CAST slide on top of the two columns, the video did not run smoothly. It ran for a few seconds, stopped, then ran again. If I turned off the CAST slide, the two columns moved up smoothly. Additionally, the word "CAST" is covered by the first column and can only be displayed when I adjust it to the second column on the right. Could you please provide some assistance in explaining what problems I might have encountered? I have recorded videos, but I cannot post them here. Thank you.
Another excellent and informative video. Is there a way to loop the text scrolling or crawling repeatedly, any number of times? Can we add a loop function in the controls menu, in the inspector? I am very curious about it. It is easily done in After Effects. But I have been struggling to find a compact way to do it in DR. Thank you for taking DR closer to us by the day.
Thanks for your suggestion, I will add that function in the next update. Loop an animation in DaVinci Resolve is very simple, in the keyframe editor in Fusion page, you select the keyframes and enable the Loop.

Before the previous text crawl has left the field of view, the second text crawl must make an entry and for some time, the previous and current texts must be in view, as we see in TV news tickers. Kindly shed some light on this. Thank you.
You can stagger the scroll text clips on top of each other, so before the first text line is out, the second one comes in. Make sure to turn off the background of the clips. if you need a scroll background, add an empty scroll text at the bottom as the background, extend the duration to match the length of all scroll text clip. I can make a short video to demo that.
Thanks for asking, do you have an example of the effect? My first thought is simply turning image on and off repeatedly to create a flicker effect, not sure what you mean by external import.
