RollPlay - Far Verona - Week 1 - Part 1 

Yo! My (Mark's) audio quality sucks at the start as the software was using my webcam mic. The audio quality DOES improve later in the video after JP let me know and I switched it to my proper one. Seen a few folks being annoyed at it and wanted to drop in a comment that hopefully more folks will see.

Every time I read "Far Verona" I can't help but sing it like "My Sharona."

Usually it takes time for me to warm up to new cast members. But I'm down with Bronze. She's cool and played her intro well. It helps that Adam gave her a springboard in the intro by pitching a topic she's comfortable with and could use to introduce herself with.Good job beeing a good host Adam and propping up your guests Adam 👍 Plus there seems to be good synergy there!

A few things from this first hour or so of the show: 1. Thumbs up to Max for attempting to turn the spotlight to other members of the cast and give them an opportunity to shine. 2. Mark's character won me over completely, when he said he didn't need an explanation, just a towel will do. 3. It is clear you can take Adam out of marketing, but you can't take marketing out of Adam.

It's been a while since I've returned to RollPlay, Im excited to see if this show captures my heart like Swan Song or West Marches did.

I watched this live on twitch which I don't get to do often, and chat was going nuts for the whole show basically. I think they really nailed it with the casting. Everyone here brings something a little different to the table, it's going to be a lot of fun.

Been waiting for this! So very excited :) TBQH this will be the first TTRPG show I've watched in weeks after a bit of an emotional down (when everything I like felt like crap), so these good feels are pretty intense.

Haven't watched RollPlay in over a year, gonna give this one a try again and hope it can hook me, looks very good so far.

Between Macross being mentioned by Mark and Foundation being a favorite book of Adam and BronzeGirl, I am instantly hooked that these guys have similar interests to me.

Is there no explanation who their characters are? I know the character creation sessions were Patreon only, but do they not tell us who they are? Also I wasn't actually clear on the premise of the show until I watched some of the world building videos by Adam and he alluded to what the character would be doing etc. Loving the universe they've built and these characters seem cool, I like all the cast members. My input is simply I wish there was a very clear outline of the characters and the exact setting and situation. (It's entirely possible I've missed the video that does all that but I can't find it for the life of me if I have)

So far I'm liking this start much more than swan songs (it was a bit more chill for the first bit). Whether it stays an improvement throughout will be cool to check out. (Though Swan Song is hard to beat)

40 minutes into this show and I realized something horrible: I will have to wait DAYS between each episode... I love sci-fi, I love this cast, and I can't wait for more to come out

The cast and the episode is awesome, but the background bothers me, the stars (as the white dots ) are weirdly distracting for me and hard to look at... idk maybe im just weird and gotta get used to it, anyways awesome content as always guys.

IS it just me or is there a lot of "dusty" sounds to the audio? I tired another video and the sound is fine then came back to this and I keep hearing crackles. every few seconds theres a Crackle thump It's quite annoying.

i hope mark gets a better mic in future episodes, it would improve the overall sound quality by a lot

Yule Brenner was also the antagonist in the original "West World". really great movie .. along with Silent Running and Logan's Run. *BUT* A Really great story written around that time was penned by Phillip K. Dick and named "A Scanner Darkly" . Shortly after he wrote this his home was invaded by government agents. The story shows how domestic interests are controlled by Mega Rich robber barons that have no "morals". The Old Money doesn't care what you feel about what happens as long as they make Profits. They play both sides hence cultural chaos behooves them. The more chaos the better .. send the slaves into a tizzy and your margin is guaranteed.
