Romania Strikes Back in the Modern Day 2017 Mod! King Michael returns to the throne to lead monarchist Romania in his conquest of Eastern Europe. I figured this would be a slightly more unique campaign in Millennium Dawn instead of just in base game HOI4. Too bad I suck at this game tho.

The main problem is that many of the old people that live in Moldova were brainwashed during the soviet regime to think that they are a totally different ethnic group from the romanians and even created a cyrillic alphabet for the moldovan language which is basically just a regional dialect. Although, the younger generation seems to want for Romania and Moldova to unify, given that the language is the same and many people from Moldova go to study in Romania. So far in December last year there was a poll about the question of reunification: 34% agreed with the unification. Perhaps in a couple of decades when most the old brainwashed people have died there will be much more support for reunification

Elgar The Romanians really had no Royal family of their own back in the 1800s. So they decided to elect a member of the House of Hohenzollern as their Prince (who would later become king upon Romanian independence).

Michael did nothing for Romania in my opinion, Vlad Tepes has and so has Carol the 1st. Communists exhiled him and there he was giving up living at a farm in Swizz mountain little village crying waiting for Ceausescu to die to go back and feel like a king again. He was week compared to his father and his grand father who actually did something for the nation.

First of all. Antonescu's regime wasn't a puppet government. Second of all, you may want to refrain from speaking of another country's history, so long as you're not part of it (In this case, a Romanian), and/or well-versed in it's history. It makes you look like a moron. I get it that you're young and try to show how much you "know", but really, it only makes you look in a negative light.

The sad part about King Mihai's life is that people didn't show the respect that he deserved. He told an interviewer that, when he was exiled, the communists placed 5 high ranking officers at the train station, and when he and his mother walked towards the wagon, they turned their backs to them. The heartbreaking part of the story is that one of the officers was crying when he turned his head around to see his king one last time.

May his brilliant majesty rest in peace, God bless his soul.Romania experienced a period of prosperity under it’s monarchy, and between the two World Wars it was truly magnificent, in fact, Bucharest was so beautiful that it was called little Paris.While it is true that it is under Gheorghiu Dej that Romania industrialized and that’s also when all of it’s roads were built (as well as all of it’s infrastructure), (it is also during the communist regime that literacy rates reached 99%), our short lived monarchy was much more competent.As a Romanian I owe respect and obedience to the royal family (even though it is not in power anymore), well, at least I think that all Romanians should respect the royal Hohenzollern family.Trăiască regina Maria!

Well, you know, Michael was a quite democratic king. He could have asked the people to re-elect him. He didn't. He was very discreet, all his life, until his death. He wasn't an authoritary monarch.
