i love the use of map to show how you traveled between sites. One of the best travel videos that share unique and practical tips. Keep up the good work!
If you made a video, please share the link. But do you get paid while traveling? My wife and I have become addicted to it, but can't travel as much as we want. Rome was the biggest eye opener I've experienced and made me fall in love with exploring
Nice clear video. Love the map, makes it easy to picture the route. Thanks for not saying its impossible to see Rome in one day and doing an easy to follow itinerary of the highlights for tourists. Hope to be there in June hopefully staying more than a day in Rome!
Great videos about Rome. I like this video because I am planning a 1 day trip to Rome coming off a cruise ship. I might modify it a little so we are not exhausted. LOL. I am wondering what train station to get off of when coming from Civitavecchia train station (port) at the first stop, Piazza Novana. Many thanks.
Thank you for this video. It’s a great video that reminds me of my trip to Rome last week! I thought my friend and I went to the colosseum but it was teatro marcello 😂 so funny! But oh well, we can always go back to the eternal city. ❤️
🙏🏻 thank you. In Rome we do not recommend it because most of the landmarks are in pedestrian only areas or in very narrow street and the bus can not go there.
Hello! I'm taking my family nombre a mediterranean cruise a gift for my oldest sons high graduation gift. I really appreciate the detailed videos you provide. I wanted to ask, our ship (Norwegian Cruise) arrives to Civitavecchia 6am June 26th, I know it's a busy time of the year. What can we realistically visit in one day if our ship leaves at 7pm? My kids and I want to see the colloseum, but my wife wants to see the fountain and Vatican. Help! Thank you!
Hello there, thank you for your comment. You'll have enough time to see quite a bit Rome but here are a few tings to consider. Regarding the Vatican the lines to get into the Basilica (due to the security checks) are really really long so we think that you won't have time to go inside unless you buy the guided tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's basilica but that tour is a 3 hours tour (here is the link: readysetitaly.com/vatican-museums). If you save the Vatican for another visit you will have enough time to see the colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and to walk around the city center. Remember if you want to go inside the Colosseum you should buy your skip the line tickets in advance because the line to get in are pretty long (readysetitaly.com/colosseum). Also keep in mind that from Civitavecchia Port to the city center will take you one and half hour, so factor this in when you plan your visit. Are you planning on taking the cruise transfer to the city or doing it on your own?
@@TravelAddictsLife we're planning on doing it on our own. Your guidance on how to do so was very helpful, I just wasn't sure how to time it precisely from the locations without missing our cruise return time. So maybe we should only plan to do the colosseum and fountains for this trip (like you said) and we'll the leave the Vatican for another day. Thank you so much for the prompt response and helpful links. We'll definitely be reviewing your videos (daily) and taking notes for the next couple of months. I'll keep you posted on how things went. Thanks again!
Love the video, really helped me plan my day. Going there in July and had no idea where to even start. I took notes and plan on visiting all these site's thanks to you guys.
Hi gentlemen, I have been watching all of your videos about Italy. I am going with my family this coming November. Would we still need to buy all the attraction tickets in advance, or is your emphasis on purchasing tickets in advance only applicable for the summer season? If you see this msg and could reply, we would be so very grateful. Thank you very much for the informative videos.
Thank you so much for your comment! It would be advisable to buy tickets in advance especially for weekends and for the most popular attractions such as the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. Rome is still incredibly busy with tourists, mostly because the weather is still really nice.
@Richardpasquinucci it is just outside of the basilica. The pope will perform the blessing from the window of the papal palace. If you watch our video about free things to do in Rome you’ll see exactly where he will be
