So relieved to have changed my holiday from Rome to Florence Crowds ar horrendous.Have booked a nicer hotel here,for a few hundred less.Will take the high speed train to Rome for a day.and visit the lesser known sights of Rome .Good luck to those who have to be there with the crowds. unless visiting in January or February,
I will be going in October this year. I can't help but hope that the crowds ease up just a little bit, but either way I'm excited to experience this beautiful city!
Me too, and yes, I'm hoping the same... 4 days in Rome, 2 days/1 night in Naples, 4 days on the Amalfi Coast, and the final night back in Rome for our morning flight back to the States... we cannot wait!
@@aprilsylvia6445 that sounds perfect to us for our first Italy trip next Fall. Our son said he’d put together an itinerary because he has been there a few times. I know we can’t see it all, but this sounds good!
I'm glad I'm learning Italian because I am avoiding the tourist areas. We're going to visit Rome for 1 day and then where' going to locations where everyone speaks Italian. I don't want to be in crowds such as these.

We were lucky when we went in November it was quiet when we went to the trevi in the morning must have only been about 3 other people there it was lovely you can enjoy it so much more helped because it was raining that day, If you want to enjoy the trevi or any other places start your sight seeing early in the morning, Also helped that we went during the week and not the weekend
The Coliseum is an expensive waste. Staring into a big hole of rubble is tiresome & worrying about getting a ticket to stare into the hole of rubble is senseless. There’s so much more to see & do in Rome.
Hubby and I will be in Rome in 10 days… hope is not this crowded … tell me more about the weather… I will need a winter jacket? Feels like 62 or less… wind? I can’t wait!!!🙏✈️👩❤️👨
Rome is this crowded on weekends. It's not that cold now but it rains intermittently. You'll surely have a great time in Rome. And remember to bring your comfortable shoes, a lot of walking to do.
If we only have 5 hours in Rome and we bought 12nn tickets for the Vatican museum, what is the best way to go around to see more sights; like the Colosseo and Trevi at least.
From the Vatican city to the historical center of Rome is about an hour walk. But if you don't have time to walk, you can take any of the bus numbers 64, 40, 96 from the Vatican to Piazza Venezia. The Trevi fountain and the Colosseum are not far from Piazza Venezia.

I was in Rome last week and my daughter bought a snowglobe of the coloseo from the souvenir shops. her little brother accidentaly broke it. she is so heart broken. I looked everywhere online. I cant find it. could you help me? someone to buy it and send it to me in the UK? I will pay for the trouble. please
