.My class recently watched the movie and I absolutely loved it, especially this song. I apologize for the mediocre video quality, I was much more concerned with the music more than anything. Thank you. Please like the video, if you enjoyed it! Adieu!

I cry. I feel the Capulets and I cry. Only Juliet 's mum is not allowed to cry. So when I was Juliet's mum (with in a play, of course) - there aint no cry for love, or whithin the love. My favourite characters in the play is merciless mum with Juliets and then her cousin ( or whatever he is,)) ... origin first, they continue life as usefull.

Saw this version in HS back in early 1970's. So glad to heard another generation is also watching it for English Literature Class. Classic, a masterpiece & I'm sure my children & their children will watch it when they're in HS. Bravo 👏🏻

The 1968 version was pictured as a youth movement. It had a lot of similarities of the hippie movement of the day. The theme the clothes the hairstyles and The love between two lovers and love of all.❤️💙🧡💙❤️💙 Zeffirelli was truly a master

This scene and song must be my all time favourite from when I was a teenager! I wanted to BE Olivia Hussey - wore my hair like her; had my mum make a dress-up copied from her red dress in this scene and performed the soliloquy from a later scene in my drama class :) This superb film had a huge influence on my life at the time. I saw this movie when it came out in a theater full of high school girls...not a dry eye in the house. What people don't realize is that in "Romeo and Juliet", Romeo is 16 and Juliet is 13. Having 30+ y.o. actors and actresses in the roles is a travesty, but the truth would have blown everyone's mind in the modern world.

not really, in fact the actress who plays Juliet was only 15, and couldn’t even go to the premiere. And romeo’s actor was 17. Also in the movie and book, it is clearly said by lady capulet the Juliet is not yet 14. I think people would yes, find it odd, but they probably understand that times were much different back then
