Ron Vander Kelen - Career Highlights 

Back in the day the NFL used to have a team play against a college all-star team... started in 1934 and ended in 1976. In 1963 he won the game MVP leading the college all-stars to beat his hometown team the Packers, this was one of the few times the college all-stars beat the NFL team and it was the last.

The best thing I remember hearing about him, was his performance in the 1963 Rose Bowl for Wisconsin. The Badgers were trailing 42-14 in the fourth quarter against USC, but Vander Kelen helped lead a furious comeback that fell just short 42-37. It says he was born in Green Bay, WI. I wonder if he would've done anything to land a job with the Packers during the sixties.
