He's truely what many Texans are like if they like you they let themselves speak like this. My ex was like this until we married then he turned into the Texan everyone dislikes 😪
He became famous as part of the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. A couple of his bits include: The reason we buy women diamonds California Cops I had a near miss plane crash Sears Tire Guy
The thing I remember most from him is being a smartass teen giving a cop rhe alias "Tater" and it followed him years later when he got pulled over & got asked if he went by Tater. Edit: I should've watched the video first 😅
I had never heard of Ron White, either, until one night I was channel surfing and hit this bit. He said, "I got thrown out of a bar in New York City." and when the audience reacted like that, I thought, "This must be a good story. I think I'll stay on this channel for a while and see what the commotion is about." I was not disappointed.
I love Ron White. Probably my second favorite comedian ever behind George Carlin. What makes Ron White amazing is his delivery and his comedic timing is impeccable.
Ron White is amazing. The entire BLUE COLLAR COMEDY TOUR was amazing of which he was one of 4 comedians (Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall. Ron was my favorite of the 4 - he's the edgiest of them by far. Most of his content is worth checking out - but if you only react to one bit - his routine on Tiger Woods is top notch hilarious!!!
Ron White was in the navy. Once he had to stand watch on an upper deck while most of the crew were enjoying a cookout. He shouted out to the crew below, "Y'all save me some of that there tater salad!" And a nickname was born.
He was the house comedian at a place in Arlington,Tx. called the Funnybone. Many nights we'd walk the 2 blocks & have a cheap dinner & stay for his show . More often than not the place was about1/4 full. Over 8 yrs of going there I heard EVERY ONE of his routines that are famous now. He was hilarious & drunk EVERY night. VERY GOOD GUY! He would sit & talk to anyone who would buy! Got to know him well enough that once he asked me "Hoss, you got any of that Arkansas Polio Weed?" You think he's funny on stage, try getting high in the back seat of a car with him. His accent is real,he swears he's toned it down a bit. He's the real deal.
Ron White is my favorite from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. And he really is from Texas. This was one of my favorite bits. Also, the one about capital punishment. Some states are trying to get rid of the death penalty. Our state of Texas (with Gov Rick Perry, at the time,) is putting in an express lane.
It took me several years at GT before I realized when someone said they were going to the library, they weren't going to the actual library to study. They were going to the Library, the bar/club. Yay nerds!
i was thrown out of a bar once in my life, at age 19 in victoria british colombia in 1991. i drank canadian rye whisky mixed with coca cola all night long and ended up drunk asf. they threw me out and i fell asleep in a bank of montreal ATM.
I've worked the bar industry in Atlanta since the 80's, playing music and doing every job from dishwasher to bartender to manager. I have been involved with seeing hundreds of people through the exit. Most of the time it was pleasant, others not so much.
One of his best jokes is a one liner. "Other people learn things when I drink. Like last night the limodriver learned that when I say I gotta Yak. That does not mean I have a long haired buffalo living in my backyard."
Oh yeah, that was fun to watch. Ron made you laugh which made me laugh. That's a win-win right there. Check out his "I'll run the f**k out of a muck with you" and the Tiger Woods one when you get a minute. Thank-you for the laughter !
Ron White is a part of a group of comedians called "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engwall & Larry the Cable Guy. They have some great content.
I got thrown out of a bar in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. It wasn't an easy to do, but gotta earn those beads. I snuck back in some time later because they get so much foot traffic they can't keep up with the face of every dummy they've seen.
Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall are often cohorts of Tater Salad and both are extremely funny. Bill's Dancing with the Stars bit is awesome (yes, he was on DWTS :))
Throwing my vote out again for John Pinette and Denis Leary, both are great storytellers. John Pinette's famous "Chinese Buffet" bit is amazing and Denis Leary's "Drugs" rant is great and is still relevant today
Guy on plane: How far will the remaining engine take us? Ron: all the way to the scene of the crash. Recommend watching all 3 of the Blue Collar Comedy Tours they are drop dead funny AF!!!
Happy New Years y'all! I've seen Ron numerous times over the years and he's fantastic. I was a bartender for 20 years and I threw lots of people out of the bar!
I met Ron White one time at baggage claim in the old Indianapolis airport (before the new terminal was completed in 2010). He's polite, and actually pretty funny even when not on stage.
There's a little more information about the broken chair from other shows. "... we broke a chair and I refused to pay for it. I refused to pay because 'we' broke the chair over *my* thigh."
Ron White is honestly one of the most talented comedians of all time. The man can make reading off a goddamn recipe funny. There's very few who can do that kind of stuff.
Ron's always been a favorite of mine, and this was his best routine in my opinion. I've seen it over and over. Next in line would be the anaconda, or maybe the emergency phone call in Georgia. I'm not sure what else you've reacted to besides Carlin (about to go see), but you might like Eddie Izzard, Bo Burnham, and Robin Williams. Billy Connolly is easily one of my favorites as well, but the accent is difficult for some people.
Ron is one of the Best, Thanks for the video. If you get a chance Ron has a new youtube video and he shows his house up in Beverly Hills he is putting up for sale, its incredible, it will blow your mind, absolutey Beautiful.
Ron White is a part of Jeff Foxworthy's Blue Collar Comedy Tour. The other main guys are Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, and of course Jeff Foxworthy. All four would be on stage together kinda like how the Tenderloins (aka The Impractical Jokers) would do. They would play off one another and it was brilliant.
Ron White talking about Tiger Woods is freaking Gold. And if you ever get around to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, the last scene all four of the comedians get on stage and tell HILARIOUS stories/jokes together
I got to see Ron at a show in a MI casino about 15 years ago and he was hysterical. A drunk jackass that I did not know was sitting right behind me and kept yelling at Ron to do the "Tater Salad" bit and Ron actually had to tell him to sit down and shut up. I have never been disappointed by Ron White's routines. Enjoy going down the Ron White rabbit hole!
