His body movements are just poetry in motion. He didn't score many goals like Pele, Messi or Christiano but migre number of goals were scored so beautifully that those who saw it live realize they had witnessed something beautiful, something magical and something phenomenal. The Phenomenon was, is and will always be the greatest.
By the age of 21 before his injuries he scored more goals than Messi and CR7 combined together by that age. If it wasn't for the injuries he woudl have set the goal record so high that nobody would ever be able to beat it!
4:05 clever move to time his run and he's confident of his speed. There are many goals of him way ahead the defense line as if he was offside but on replay he was at least half a body behind the defender.
What an incredible player Brazillian Ronaldo was. The only player that could come close to him when it comes to 1v1 was Nwankwo Kanu who was also fantastic at doing with the keepers. Probably just as good as Ronaldo. But Ronaldo had the added ability to do it from further out and at much greater speed and power. Kanu could not do what Ronaldo did at 2:07 with the incisive decision making and lightning speed stepover. Ronaldo was simply a freak of nature. He had pace and power and had great agility with a crazy change of direction and scintillating stepovers which almost twisted his entire upper body and completely bamboozle goal keepers and defenders alike. This power he had while changing direction put a lot of strain on his knees and eventually led to a ruptured patella tendon (on both knees I think) which is simply the worst knee injury you can possibly get by far. I remember how they imported sand from Brazil to Inter Milan so that it can help him recover. That injury robbed us of what would've been the best player ever maybe. His absolute prime was very short (97-99). It's just incredible how he came back at about 67% the player he was and still destroy teams and defences. One of the best to have ever lived.
He is still and probably will be the best player i will ever see in my lifetime. Young R9, pre injury, is arguably the best footballer ever. It is not even debatable. No one comes close.
@@Ilovecheese01 Messi’s prime is not better than the first five professional seasons of The Phenomenon, who, never had a prime because of injuries 😂Yes, you read it. Maradona, Van Basten, Platini, Baggio, Romario and other greats. I saw them all. He was the best, by far. At already 18-20 years old, he was already the ultimate footballer lol… just in a class of its own. As i wrote, that lad, The Phenomenon, is basically the ultimate being created by Mother Nature with a ball at his feet. The best player humanity has ever witnessed.
@@Ilovecheese01for sure But : Iniesta in his prime Pujol in his prime Xabi in his prime Busquets in his prime … Alves… Couple ballon d on that team that won messi Try to find a team near that in ronaldos prime He played barsa surrounded by ramdom players … He played madrid galacticos that was old dogs not in their prime. He in that time with one leg and fat he was still the best . But the best to watch..for sure He played Milan and Inter in a time that messi would be crying every ten minutes I doubt he could handle that amount of kicks and phisical game that they were palying THEN. For sure prime ronaldo today would score more than 40 goals per season The guy was a joy to watch even you compared with messi, better footballer by career but in talent is a joke … Without xavi and iniesta …could he do that? I doubt it FIFA was determined to give him the world cup He was before not being a half of a half that Donaldo was to his selection , without fifas embarrassing supporting
Inutile cercare di ricordare le volte che ho provato a emularti tentando di scartare il portiere, solo per potermi sentire un attimo onnipotente come te. Inutile anche dire che la maggior parte delle volte finiva male. Unico
Got almost chills at 6:10 3 man in the back and he walks past the competitor completely crazy incredibly many today do not choose it but maybe wise to do it he very smart. Good thinking.
The difference and the very reason Ronaldo is better than Messi and the Portugal Ronaldo is his explosion...The guy is a volcano, dynamite and very explosive on the field of play ...He explodes and make every one involves in the opposition team afraid...From the club owner down to chef and cooks ...lolz
@@elviscassemiro9139 He is a unique athlete. Simply a phenomenon. Some fast forwards would be second tier when they lost their speed but Ron still able to shine. Owen and Torres are the first to come to mind.
R9 has more goals than Messi and Romario combined that are scored when dribbling passed goal keepers.. Don't ever dare to mention his name with any one else when it comes to dribble passed goal keepers
The great man was otherwise humble. Only when he saw a goalkeeper infront he couldn't control himself but turn into a troll😆😅🤣😂. When I think of the injuries throughout his career, I often wonder whether those were the goalkeepers' curses😁😁.
He score about 480+ goals in his career and 88 of them are 1V1 against the keeper. If you don’t regard him as the GOAT striker unfortunately im sorry for you because he is surely better than anyone else in that position. If this guy has the ball in the box scoreline usually shows +1.
If this dude had a long, healthy career, I think hed be the goat. I forgot that this video was only his goals in this particular situation lmfa. Crazy.
Seriously, calling either one of these great athletes talentless is just pure ignorant hatred. Im in no position to state if either one is more talented than the other, but they both sure had a fair share on talent. its quite a statement too to refer cr7s technique as ’limited’. compare the guys during their prime and youth, just take a look at cr7 in ManU for example. even in his late 30’s tehcnique is still quite remarkable for a man his age. fenomeno was waaayy retired by that age. to value talent over 100% dedication, commitment and hard work is pointless. talent is way more common than the other. it never stops pissing me off how poeple simply can not praise one player without insulting another.
@@emilreitala870 Yeah! But CR7 is over rated, if he is so great as he boasts, than let him win a world cup for once. CR7 will never be remembered if he doesn't win a world cup. Ronaldo Phenomenon is greater than Christiano the copy cat. Ronaldo Phenomenon is the professor emeritus of football. All Brazilian football players say they are his students. They learn from the Phenomenon. Does Portugal have training camps where they learn CR7 magic??
00:50 someone should analyse the biomechanic of his sprint, it's explosive and springy, compared to other fast players like Henry, CR7, Bale. On top of that he could maneuver zigzaging, stop and go at will. You can't learn those.
